Swing Into The Sixties With This Flawless Midcentury Modern Ju-Nel

I thought I’d just wrapped up my work and could relax when I heard a ping. Opening my email, this flawless, jaw-dropping 1966 Midcentury Modern Ju-Nel unfolded before my eyes, and I knew y’all could not wait to see it. It’s hard enough to find a Ju-Nel, much less one that has been so beautifully maintained, but here it is. My advice is to call David Griffin’s listing agent, Brandon Stewart, now. Ju-Nel homes go fast.

If you are new to Dallas and want to know about architects Lyle Rowley and Jack Wilson’s Ju-Nel homes, you can find out more on Mark Weeks’ fabulous website. The 311 on them is they were inspired by what was going on in California architecture and thought, why can’t Dallas have exciting and sustainable architecture too? Their use of organic materials and respect for nature set their homes apart. It was almost as if they sought out challenging topography and with a can-do attitude showed us all that it was absolutely possible to build in nature without destroying it. It’s why their homes remain and are still so sought-after.

Even Weeks was blown away by this one. He posted the following on his site:
It is one of the most original I have ever seen, and with images now available of the entire home, I am designating it a super Ju-Nel. Very rare opportunity to own a home like this.

Stewart agrees, and he’s one of a handful of our Realtors who truly knows Midcentury architecture. Scoring this listing was a full-circle moment.
“My first listing as a new Realtor was a Ju-Nel next door to this one, and I met the owners, Ralph and Patricia Calloway,” Stewart said. “So, they have been on my mailing list for years.”
Pat would call Stewart when she had questions about updates, and he’d guide her in making good choices. Sadly, after living in this beauty for over 50 years, Pat passed away recently. Her sister reached out to Stewart because she knew Pat always wanted Stewart to sell her home when the time came. So, it is a full circle moment indeed, and a poignant one.
Stewart had East Dallas Modern stage the 2,735-square-foot, five-bedroom, three-bathroom Midcentury Modern Ju-Nel.
“They are awesome and understand how to stage Midcentury homes better than anyone,” Stewart said.
Stewart has this Midcentury Modern Ju-Nel at 10905 Fernald Ave. available for $1.1 million.

Great home in a nice area!
I absolutely love this house! Another stunning Ju-Nel. Now if only our housing budget was 7 figures, and we didn’t have a kid we don’t want to move out of the current RISD high school.
I feel your pain!
