If you’re looking for the urban luxury highrise lifestyle with walkability to a variety of dining, entertainment, and shopping, look no further. The lofts at 1999 McKinney have the perfect location, plenty of amenities, and are in easy walking distance to Uptown and more. Four of them are currently available, and will be held open this weekend.

Just to let you know how quickly that can change, as I started writing this, six lofts were going to be part of the open house, but two went under contract. These units don’t come up that often and when they do, they get snapped up pretty quickly. The building originally had 60 units when it first opened in 2000, but some owners have combined units to make larger spaces since then, so its a fairly intimate building for a highrise. Listing agent Lori Ericsson with David Griffin & Company said, “One of the unique amenities for a building of this size is that they offer 24/7 concierge service. You won’t get that at other buildings on the street.”

In addition to concierge service, the building also features onsite management, building maintenance, and security. Residents can work out at the spacious fitness center, and cool off at the fourth floor stainless steel saltwater pool and lounge area.

Each unit has some signature similarities, like an open concept floor plan, exposed ductwork, and a two-story design — and don’t forget the generous terrace with those downtown views. Yet because the building has been around since 2000, each unit has now gone through its own design process by different owners, so they are all uniquely different.

There is activity literally everywhere you turn. You can walk to the American Airlines Center, House of Blues, or the Arts District. Spend the day at Klyde Warren Park or walk the Katy Trail. Dine at one of the dozen of restaurants a stone’s throw away. Walk to hair, nails, fitness — if you work from home you can just leave your car in one of your private spaces for good!

Let’s take a look at these four beautiful lofts that are this week’s Highlight Homes of the Week sponsored by Senior Loan Officer Lisa Peters of First Horizon.
