1999 McKinney

We know the most popular real estate expression is “location, location, location.” It’s a phrase that’s been in use since 1926 because it’s accurate. Whether you are relocating to work at Goldman Sachs’ new Dallas headquarters in Uptown or just love the high-rise lifestyle and urban luxury, 1999 McKinney is the perfect location.

The Lightbulb Moment For Urban Luxury Living

Chic industrial style has always appealed to city dwellers. But in addition to relocations being at an all-time high, our suburbanites are increasingly tired of maintenance. It’s like a universal light bulb has gone off and everyone has seen that light. It’s not just Dallas. Walkable communities are the overriding preference of buyers in America today.

On June 27, the National Association of Realtors released the 2023 Community & Transportation Preferences Survey.  Every three years they conduct a poll to gauge home location preferences and community qualities.

“With COVID in our rearview mirror, this study shows that a substantial demand for walkability persists for Americans of all ages,” said NAR President Kenny Parcell.

Among noteworthy findings of the survey:

If deciding today where to live:

  • 79 percent said being within an easy walk of other places and things, such as shops and parks, is very/somewhat important. 78 percent of those indicated that they would be willing to pay more to live in a walkable community.
  • 65 percent said having public transport nearby is very/somewhat important.

On the weekends you can head to Klyde Warren Park for yoga in the morning, spend the afternoon at the Dallas Museum of Art, then catch a game or concert at the American Airlines Center.  Everything is so close that your cars are likely to stay put until you take a road trip.
