Updated Home In Distinguished Dorsey Elementary Footprint

Nearly every week, a missive (or three) hits our inbox asking for recommendations on neighborhoods with the best schools. This week, we’re going to tell you about Dorsey Elementary in Pleasant Grove, which was recently featured in Dallas ISD’s weekly Best Schools video series.
Last week, we checked out a listing zoned for Cowart Elementary in Oak Cliff — and while STAAR testing likely precluded a new video for this week, we just hit the rewind button a bit to snag the video for Dorsey.
Last year, this neighborhood school earned five out of six TEA distinctions, and an “A” rating in the state’s A-F grading system.
When we went to look for properties in Dorsey’s boundaries, we found that they’re actually a little dear — we found only a handful, and all of them were affordable, updated, and move-in ready.
This home at 9816 Seagoville Road is a great example. Built in 1985, the three-bedroom, two bath home has 1,134 square feet of updated space, and is ready for a family to move in.
The home is laid out well, with an open living space with fireplace, u-shaped kitchen with new stainless steel appliances, and completely updated bathrooms in both the master suite and hall bath.
Practicalities have also been taken care of, with a new roof added last month, and new paint and flooring throughout.
The home is priced at $160,000 and is listed by Anthony Coleman with NB Elite Realty.
