Where to Celebrate the Fourth of July in Tarrant County

Expect some extra sparkle this Fourth of July as the U.S. of A. puts 250 candles on its birthday cake, and communities across Tarrant County are doing their part to celebrate with several days of parades, concerts, food, and fireworks to celebrate.

From Fort Worth’s annual Panther Island celebration to Arlington’s downtown festivities, Southlake’s Stars & Stripes, and Bedford’s 4thFest, Tarrant County offers plenty of ways to celebrate America’s 250th birthday.

Arlington

Downtown Arlington’s star‑spangled celebration spans both July 3 and July 4, with live music filling the air, streets lined with local flavors, and one of the largest Fourth of July parades in Texas setting the tone. On Friday, the Levitt Pavilion comes alive when Chef Dee will open in the evening at 7 p.m., followed by Brad Thompson at 8:30 p.m.

On July 4, Arlington’s Independence Day Parade traditionally starts in Downtown Arlington at the intersection of West Street and Mitchell Street, right by the UTA College Park District, before traveling through the middle of downtown. Meanwhile, the DREAM Park Stage will kick off at 6 p.m. with Young Stars and Guitars and will continue with Jimmy Pitstick at 7 p.m. Family fun will be on tap at the Kids Zone at City Center Plaza, where bounce houses, games, crafts, glitter tattoos, and an air‑conditioned activity inside the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library will keep the fun rolling. Food trucks will bring the flavor, and the night caps off with Arlington’s largest fireworks show, launching at 9:50 p.m. from City Hall. Bringing blankets and lawn chairs is encouraged.

Bedford

Bedford is kicking off America’s 250th birthday with a full day of red‑white‑and‑blue fun, starting early at Central Park, 1201 Central Dr. From 9 a.m. to noon July 4, families can splash down waterslides, swirl up tie‑dye creations, and dive into a foam party. Hot dogs, chips, and frozen treats will roll out at 11 a.m. as long as supplies last. Then the celebration shifts to Generations Park, 2801 Forest Ridge Dr., where Bedford 4thFest keeps the momentum going from 5 to 10 p.m. The evening brings live entertainment from the Downtown Fever Band, plus food trucks, vendors, and activities for all ages. This is all the build-up for the annual fireworks show, set to begin around 9:30 p.m. Lawn chairs, blankets, coolers, and non‑alcoholic drinks are welcome.

Fort Worth

Fort Worth’s Fourth returns to Panther Island Pavilion on July 4 with one of North Texas’ largest Independence Day celebrations. Admission is free, and the festival begins at 5 p.m. with live music, food and beverage vendors, family activities, and waterfront fun along the Trinity River.

The evening concludes with a fireworks show beginning at about 9:30 p.m., choreographed to music and visible from multiple viewing areas around Panther Island. Organizers encourage attendees to bring blankets or lawn chairs. Parking is available nearby, and free shuttle service will operate from designated lots.

Southlake

As it does each year, Southlake will get a jump start on the holiday celebration July 3. The city’s Stars & Stripes event will take over Southlake Town Square, located at 1400 Southlake Blvd., from 5 to 11 p.m. that day.  The town square will be surrounded by festival foods, live entertainment, and free activities for all ages. The celebration will end with fireworks bursting above the grounds. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome to join the tradition.
