When people move to Dallas, they already know about a few neighborhoods like Highland Park and Preston Hollow. However, most don’t know anything about Oak Cliff. That’s not really a bad thing because it means locals have a better opportunity to be first in line for homes like this adorable Kessler Park Tudor. Of course, this doesn’t mean Oak Cliff won’t welcome you with open arms if you are not a local. It’s a very friendly community.

You’ll be pleasantly surprised to find this leafy neighborhood full of rolling hills and winding streets. It’s similar to Dilworth in Charlotte, North Carolina, or Central Gardens in Memphis, Tennessee. It’s beautiful, quiet, and historic. Most homes were built between 1920 and 1940, and you cannot beat the golf course access.
This neighborhood is on the National Register of Historic Places and was the first development in Kessler Park. On March 19, 1923, R.H. Stewart sold a parcel of land in North Oak Cliff to S.A. Temple to develop the first section of Kessler Park, called Kessler Square. The neighborhood became a conservation district in 2005, meaning a big white box will never pop up next to your sweet Tudor.

When this 1925 Kessler Park Tudor popped up this week, I knew you’d want to see it because it’s move-in-ready, and that is what we all want today. Previous and current owners have updated this classic while maintaining the home’s historic character and adding some lovely touches, like the deep green tile accents in the kitchen.

“Windomere is such a fantastic street,” Dave Perry-Miller listing agent Eugene Gonzalez said. “This block is so pretty, and the neighbors are the best.”

One of the terrific things about this section of Kessler Park is that when you aren’t in the pool, you can be golfing or playing tennis in 10 minutes at Stevens Park Golf Course and Tennis Courts. Then, hop in the car for a 5-minute drive to brunch in Bishop Arts. This is your perfect summer-ready sanctuary.

Gonzalez has this Kessler Park Tudor at 1126 N Windomere Ave. available for $ 800,000.
It’s open today from 2-4 p.m. I’d advise being first in line!
