“Gals, Gifts and Glam,” a complimentary soiree aimed at those looking to do a little shopping while doing good, is planned for 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty. The public is invited to join seven Fort Worth Realtors for the third annual pop-up shopping event at their office, 4828 Camp Bowie Blvd, in Fort Worth.
“We want to connect ourselves as real estate advisors to the community,” said Realtor ReyAnne Moorehead. “We’re not just about selling properties. We want to be connected to our community, and this event gives us that opportunity to extend our reach to our neighbors.”
Like-Minded Realtors

This is the third year that Moorehead along with Realtors Susan Thornton, Jana Stidman, Ashley Mooring, Michelle Stum, Katie Roberts, and Michelle Scarborough have hosted a “girls night out” event. Initially the idea was to showcase the firm’s Fort Worth art-filled offices.
“We all came together as like-minded ladies,” Moorhead said. “We wanted to do something unique and different, and we wanted to take advantage of our unique office space.”
This year’s event will feature more vendors than in previous years. The 24 vendors will include small boutiques with wares ranging from jewelry to mahjong mats and Cowtown-inspired merch like a hat bar and cowboy boots. Complimentary wine and light bites are part of the fun at this free event. Also adding to the festivities will be local guitarist Raymond Revel.
Supporting Careity Foundation
But now the event has evolved into charitable giving. In addition to providing a fun evening, Gals, Gifts, and Glam aims to support the community, too. Each vendor has pledged to donate a percentage of its profits that night to The Careity Foundation. The Fort Worth-based non-profit organization, led by CEO Lyn Walsh and president Beverly Branch, provides practical support for cancer patients. For 30 years, the non-profit was best known for its signature Careity Celebrity Cutting.
“They are amazing,” Moorehead said of the chosen charity. “All the money they raise goes to cancer patients and their families here in North Texas.
“We thought it was a good fit because we wanted to focus on a woman-owned business. There are two ladies who started this foundation, so we thought it was a good fit.”
Raising funds for a charitable cause is important, but the Realtors organizing the event will drop by for multiple reasons.
“This is an event where friends run into friends and make connections,” Moorehead said.
