Waco Ice Cream House Makes for a Perfect Re-Treat for Those Who Like Sweets

In the past I’ve written about fabulous Texas homes that would make perfect she-shed’s. You catch a break from piano lessons and soccer games so you and your BFF’s can rest and recharge. Well, my lovelies, I have found not only the loveliest retreat but also the perfect re-treat with a huge emphasis on “treat.”
The cherry on top to this re-treat is that it is only two hours away right down I-35 to Waco. Imagine spending the day at the Magnolia Market at the Silos or at the downtown farmer’s market only to come back to a slice of heaven or, should I say, a double-scoop of delightful?

Sitting on a little more than five acres, this adorable home has benefited from owners who had a vision for creating a delightful home and hit a home run.

Known as Waco’s ice cream house, this re-treat takes advantage of the open concept so the kitchen, dining, and living all blend together. At 2,355 square feet, the home seems much bigger than it really is.
The open floor plan allows the use of the vibrant, happy colors that make this a fun place to just kick back and relax without it being overpowering.

The dining area flows beautifully with the kitchen. Along with all the natural light, the windows provide a serene vista of all the mature oak trees located on the property.

The kitchen features marble countertops, a farmhouse sink, stainless steel appliances, and an oversized island.
You will not miss out on any of the fun as you are making yourself a snack. The snowcone lights are perfect. This re-treat is as soothing as hot fudge on a sundae.

Along with lots of counter space for appliances and meal prep, there is also a walk-through butler’s pantry with shelving that connects to the laundry room, adding storage and convenience.
The split floor plan ensures privacy, with the primary suite set apart as a re-treat. Here you’ll find his-and-hers closets and a spa-inspired bathroom with a deep soaking tub, and dual vanities.

The other two bedrooms are just as charming.
The expansive windows create an airy, light-filled atmosphere. As if you needed more space, there is a loft located atop the spiral staircase.

The detail of painting the steps of the staircase to match the rest of the decor is brilliant.
If I were to give this Waco ice cream a house a Yelp review, it would absolutely get five stars. With so many homes these days going with gray or white, this house is refreshing with its use of color. It is the perfect second home to be used as a re-treat.

Located at 109 Springfield Lane in Waco, the home is listed for $750,000.
