Must Love Dogs: Briarwood Luxury New Construction is Purpose-Built For Every Member of the Family

“I like to give each of my listings a name beyond just the address, and this one has to be ‘Must Love Dogs,'” said co-listing agent Adam Zoblotsky with Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Real Estate.
Just take a look at little Dulce posing her heart out in the custom dog bath at 4922 Elsby Ave. in Briarwood, and you know, not only is this home next level, but its builder really put some thought into who was going to live here.
“This is a great house for dogs,” co-listing agent Janelle Alcantara said. “From the pet-friendly turf in the big backyard with its shade tree to the elevated dog wash just inside the back door.”
It’s just one of the many reason why we chose this stunning new construction home for this week’s Highlight Home of the Week sponsored by Senior Loan Officer Lisa Peters of First Horizon.

We think their owners will enjoy it, too. Briarwood is a well-loved and coveted community, both for its beauty and for its walkable access to some of Dallas’ best restaurants and shopping in Inwood Village. If you didn’t grow up going to Celebration for family-style home-cooking, you need to fix that right away. Or perhaps something more trendy like Shinsei or Perch? Walkable, and dog friendly, people move here and stay.
“I love Briarwood. I’ve lived here for six years,” said Zoblotsky. “The builder lives here. After building a few homes here, he fell in love and moved in.”

It’s just a stunning entry into a stunning home. This blond wood spans the first floor and is one of the many perks of this builder, Jain Luxury Homes. Their background is in luxury hotels, and they’ve leveraged that commercial buying power and expertise into the residential space bringing a different access to materials and ideas than other builders may have. So this wood is a commercial-grade material that will be more durable and last longer than other types of wood floors.

This lovely office is off the entryway at the front of the home and has three exciting qualities to note. One is the huge picture windows giving beautiful light and views of the street — it makes such a pleasant space to work. Next is the incredible accent wall, which is covered in faux black leather. I’m literally in love with that wall. Finally, you could easily miss it, but there’s a small door behind the desk. It may be a small door, but it leads to a huge storage space. I just love little secrets like that in homes.

“It’s a blend of fresh modern finishes that are toned down to make it really comfortable, almost a coastal feel,” said Alcantara.
And she can’t say enough about Jain, the builder.
“[Jain] is great to work with. He’s building several homes in Briarwood; he lives here,” she said. “He cares about his product, the neighborhood, and the people who are going to live there.”

The kitchen is a masterpiece: open and airy and filled with top-tier appliances to give the home chef every convenience imaginable. The waterfall island is absolute perfection, and I love that there’s also a second counter and storage space on the adjacent wall with a wine fridge. Not pictured is a large pantry, as well as a mudroom, just beyond the kitchen.

The home is graced with two primary suites, and when this home boasts that it has two primary suites, it means it. You know how you read that sometimes, and what you’re really getting is a primary suite and another large bedroom? Not here. Both have stunning, spacious bedrooms, with gorgeous spa-like baths. There are even laundry rooms up and down. Your choice becomes about your preferred access. Downstairs, the primary has access to the patio and outdoor kitchen. Upstairs, the primary accesses the game room and second living area with a wet bar that opens to the covered terrace.

Either way, you have a prime setup for guests, multigenerational living, or a wonderful place for grown kids to stay when they visit.

The game room has a wet bar and large glass doors that open to the covered terrace overlooking the backyard. This fantastic black accent wall is done with millwork.

Outdoor living is thoughtfully executed and truly luxurious for this part of town. One of the things about Briarwood is that people love living here so much, but they usually have to sacrifice having a large lot with much access to outdoor entertainment space when they move here. Jain paid special attention to that in his design, incorporating large patios on the ground and second floor, a sleek balcony across the front (which is accessible through the gym), and a large turfed yard – large enough to add a pool and still have plenty of yard for a pet or kids to play.
The outdoor kitchen has a grill, sink, refrigeration, and warming drawers.
