With over 25 years of experience serving the Dallas and Collin County markets as a top-producing agent, relocation specialist, manager, and member of several State of Texas commissions, Dona Timm is without question one of our area’s most prominent agents and advisors. Throughout her storied career, this prolific real estate pro has won an array of accolades, including “Dallas’ Best Realtor” by D Magazine. She has worked across multiple brokerages but now returns to the one place she feels most empowered.
“I am so relieved and happy to be carrying a Briggs Freeman business card again,” said Timm. “In my experience, this is the absolute best brokerage in the business. As someone who’s worked in compliance and on ethics commissions, I have a higher standard of expectations. Briggs Freeman exceeds those expectations by holding some of the highest industry standards.”
Timm assumed the role of Global Real Estate Advisor at Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty following an illustrious career as a Luxury Property Specialist. Timm has particularly deep experience in large corporate relocations, having helped Exxon Mobil, JC Penney, Pizza Hut, and others.
“It was such a pleasure helping some of the world’s biggest companies make their moves to DFW,” said Timm. “When Toyota relocated from California to Plano, I had the pleasure of assisting so many great people. I have come to know them and their families over the years. Now, I’m helping their kids purchase homes all over the area.”
Providing expert, personalized service to such a high volume of clients requires competence, efficiency, and experience. Timm is confident that the teams behind the Briggs Freeman brokerage provide this formula to allow her to live up to her clients’ expectations.
“I don’t have to worry about a thing with Briggs Freeman,” said Timm. “That’s probably the best aspect of this brokerage. They really have checks and balances. I love that. They’re willing to spend the money to have the right people on the job. From the legal team to the marketing department, everything is taken care of. They have my back and they have their back and they have my clients’ back.”
For Timm, this organization and equilibrium are incredibly important, not only in her work life but at home as well. She lives by the philosophy of being in balance.

“It’s really important to learn how to balance family, work, and fun,” said Timm. “After so many years of being in real estate, it’s still so fun because my life is in balance. I share my work life with my husband Terry, who I have lunch with every day. We travel a lot together as well. With Briggs Freeman, I don’t have to worry about anything when I’m not in the office. I don’t have to worry about if the doors are going to be open, who the manager is, or what accounting is doing. I can depend on them one hundred percent.”
Without stressing over all the details that go into creating sound transactions, Timm focuses on her clients. Therefore, she gets to know them on a personal level to ensure the homes they ultimately end up in perfectly suit their needs and lifestyles.
“I make it a point to talk on the phone every day with my clients,” said Timm. “Before my father passed away, I asked him what is the most important thing and he told me, ‘Dona, call people back.’ So, my favorite part of the day is picking up the phone and calling people back. I love talking with people and holding my own open houses.”
In her new role, Timm will have opportunities to serve clients from across the North Texas region. From Collin County to Dallas, Timm is ready to bring her expert touch to the team at Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty.
