Westwood Park is the Best Of Both Worlds

We are rediscovering Oak Cliff neighborhoods at a rapid pace and finding some pretty sweet deals. Wynwood and Kiestwood are familiar to us all now, but this week, I discovered Westwood Park. It’s a neighborhood I’d not investigated before, and WOW this is definitely the place to call home! I’ve found you a gorgeous and fully updated Midcentury Ranch on Gladiolus Lane that is minutes from Mountain Creek Lake and the Oak Cliff Nature Preserve. You can also get downtown in 15 minutes, so you truly have nature and the city at your fingertips, the best of both worlds!

“Westwood Park is not on many people’s radar,” Dave Perry-Miller listing agent Victor Felix-Diaz said.
That’s changing, however, as people expand their radius to find the perfect house. Considering a home on Gladiolus was featured on the recent Heritage Oak Cliff Fall Home Tour, I think the secret is finally out.

This 1963 Westwood Park Midcentury Ranch was completely redone by MC365 LLC, a company owned by two gentlemen who put love into the homes they revitalize. In other words, this is not so much a flip as a home that’s been reborn by honoring its roots and adding in all the goodness we expect to find in a home today. They took this 2,696-square-foot, four-bedroom, three-bathroom Midcentury Ranch to a level I don’t think anyone could have imagined.

Westwood Park is a walkable neighborhood with friendly neighbors and a strong sense of security. Gladiolus is a picturesque street that backs up to Crow Creek, so it has a heightened level of privacy.

Having a Realtor who is not only bilingual but also understands the neighborhood is important for both the seller and buyer because no one really understands a neighborhood better than someone who lives in it!
Felix Diaz lives in the area, and when you understand that Realtors have the inside scoop on every neighborhood, I asked him why he chose this part of town. “We looked at probably close to 40 houses over a year and decided on this area because we liked the creek, the view of trees, and the privacy,” he said. “We also love the ranch-style homes here. Everyone loves the proximity to the highway and the fact you can be in Bishop Arts in about seven minutes.”

Felix-Diaz has this Westwood Park Midcentury Ranch at 3206 Gladiolus Lane available for $639,000.
