Win Tickets to Next Week’s 18th Annual AIA Dallas Tour of Homes and Premiere Party

Each fall, the American Institute of Architects hosts one of the most exclusive and exciting home tours of the year. This year, the 18th Annual AIA Dallas Tour of Homes, a showcase of the work of some of the most talented architects in Dallas, is a must-see for architecture enthusiasts and home design aficionados.
Jarod Fancher, AIA, and Andrew Stiglmeier, AIA, are co-chairs of the event this year.
“The AIA Dallas Tour of Homes is a natural extension of what AIA Dallas seeks to do: celebrate the beauty, diversity, and functionality of architecture across North Texas,” Fancher said.

The Premiere Party Event will be held on Oct.24 at a unique Spanish Revival home in Frisco, completely remodeled by Bella Custom Homes and architect Lloyd Lumpkins with landscape design by Harold Leidner. The homeowners worked with interior designer Stacy Brotemarkle to bring their vision, inspired by their global travels, to life. The owners commissioned artwork specifically for the home.
“We corrected some of the basic elements of design that were missing, straightening and widening hallways and replacing French doors with modern sliders,” Lumpkins said. “The interior was completely remodeled. We let the light flow in and connected the spaces thoughtfully. It’s still traditional, but more modern and is now a house meant for entertainment which was a main goal for the clients. The lighted onyx bar is very special, and the principal bathroom will knock your socks off.”
Tickets to the annual AIA Dallas Tour of Homes are $50 if purchased before the week of the tour. Starting Oct. 21, ticket prices will increase to $60. The separately ticketed Premiere Party event on Thursday, Oct. 24, is being held at a home that is not on the general admission tour. VIP tickets are $125 and include:
- Live music.
- Hors d’oeuvres.
- An open bar.
- Conversations with the tour architects.
- A ticket to a self-guided weekend tour.
