Bad Day at Work? These Inspectors May Have You Beat
Share News:
Every job has its ups and downs and while the team at Green Scene Home Inspections loves what they do, even they can admit they have bad days now and then. And they’re happy to share those rough moments so we can all laugh and be glad it wasn’t us. So what does a bad day for a home inspector look like? Here are a few instances:
Agent Oopsy

Can you tell what’s wrong with this picture? We’ve arrived at the inspection, and we need to get in the door… Do you see that blue box hanging on the inside of the door? Yeah, that’s the lock box with the keys in it. On the inside of the house.
If a Tree Falls …
What I’d really like to know is why they’re cutting down all those big beautiful trees, but that’s beside the point. The inspector had to wait for the tree cutters to finish cutting a tree at the front door of the inspection before he could even go in. Then, they were cutting that other one down while he was right there on the roof. Dodging branches. Just a little extra danger that day.
Home Inspection Horrors
Is this a murder house? Why is this on the market, and why is someone buying it? But seriously, sometimes we inspect distressed properties or properties that will likely be torn down, but they want to assess the status of the home and what may be salvageable. Or the inspector arrives to find someone’s been squatting in the property unbeknownst to anyone. These are not fun inspections. These are often gross, unsanitary, even dangerous inspections. But, on the bright side, we get great material to share here at Upon Closer Inspection!
So the next time you’re having a bad day, just be glad nobody locked you out of work, or tried to drop a tree on you, or, well, I don’t want to talk about those bathrooms. And when you need a home inspector, know that no job is too tough for us to handle.
