When an award-winning interior designer and one of the most tasteful men I know raves about a Riverhills Manor house, you remember it. This is especially true when the designer is Eric Prokesh, one of our talented contributing writers.

Back in 2017, Prokesh stumbled upon this home and waxed poetic about it. He pointed out the old-school quality of the new construction, details like coffered and groin-vaulted ceilings, and noted that the street was named after the Aviemore resort in the Scottish Highlands.

He painted a lovely picture that has only improved since 2017. We all know trends only take a few years to change, so it’s not surprising that this Riverhills Manor house has been tastefully updated since Prokesh featured it on Candysdirt.com.

The study was transformed with a coat of paint, updated lighting, neutral drapes, and a sisal rug, showcasing just how easy it is to bring a room forward. The entry stair railing was cleverly updated. See if you can spot exactly what was done here and in the rest of this 6,286-square-foot Riverhills Manor house!

This Riverhills Manor House is More Than a Place to Live

For those of you new to Fort Worth, and we know there are a lot of you, as it is now the 12th largest city in America, Riverhills is not just a place to live. It’s a piece of history. It’s under 15 minutes to downtown Fort Worth and one of the prettiest neighborhoods you will find. There is also a rich history here. Riverhills is part of the original 7,000-acre, family-owned Edwards Ranch founded in 1848, predating the city of Fort Worth.

In 1956 the family created a development company, Cassco, to oversee the creation of  residential and commercial properties. The Riverhills neighborhood spans 320 acres, and the sixth generation of the Edwards family still manages the land. They ensured a strict building code would govern the quality of materials, setbacks, specs, and scale — all furthering the legacy of the Edwards Ranch.

Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s Ashley Mooring has this Riverhills Highland Manor house at 3737 Aviemore Dr. listed for $3.75 million.
