Here They Grow Again: Briggs Freeman Adds More Stellar Agents in Almost Every Office

Share News:

How does Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty continue to attract the top talent in North Texas? There are several answers to that question — and it’s a recipe that only this brokerage seems to have. We’ll get to that in a minute because there is some impressive news to share, first.

Joining the Turtle Creek office:

Linda Lunn

With 25 years of advertising and marketing expertise, Linda Lunn has found real estate to be a natural segue. This customer-service advocate has built her multimillion-dollar business on referrals from her buyers and sellers — an honor as exciting as her multiple best-agent awards from D Magazine. As one of the first 1,000 permanent residents in downtown Dallas, her knowledge of urban life — and all the surrounding neighborhoods — provides her clients with intel on every type of home, from lofts and penthouses to bungalows and mansions. Lunn is a certified Master Gardener who loves cooking and fine wines.

David Parks

A Dallas native who has lived in Spain and Puerto Rico, David Parks returned to North Texas for college — and met his future wife (of now 30 years!) at the University of North Texas. After several years in commercial real estate, Parks found his calling on the residential side, where he has helped clients in almost every area of the metroplex. (He has helped with as many as six transactions for one family.) He loves playing tennis and basketball, playing drums and guitar, cooking, and traveling with his family.

Krista Cheatham

A wife and mother of two, Krista Cheatham was the founder and publisher of a home renovation and lifestyle magazine for nearly a decade, so she is very well-versed in all things home — from the latest interior design trends to the best staging tips for her sellers. Over the past three years, her design expertise and marketing savvy from her magazine career have propelled her to a successful career as an agent.

Joining the Southlake office:

Andrea Miranda

After graduating from the University of Houston, Andrea Miranda worked in hospitality and then healthcare — two industries that allowed her to hone her client-service skills before eventually making the switch to real estate. She and her husband raised their four children in Southlake, where they have resided for 23 years. Fun fact: When she’s not hard at work, she loves developing new recipes, plus traveling and playing golf.

Susanne Friberg Cappetta

Susanne Friberg Cappetta’s experience as a nurse while also holding an MBA in accounting and financial control offers her clients an agent who has both caring abilities as well as the financial skills to guide them through investing in their biggest asset. She specializes in residential and farm and ranch properties, having owned two large ranches herself, one in Sweden and another in Gainesville, Texas. Born and raised in Stockholm, Cappetta has lived in Italy and Belgium and now calls Texas her forever home.

Brenda Menzel

A native Texan with more than 20 years of experience in both existing- and new-home sales, Brenda Menzel’s resume boasts a diversified background, including 12 years selling for a national homebuilder (which gives her a very valuable understanding of construction). At the heart of her business is her innate desire to help others — including providing valuable market data, historical expertise, and trusted advice. Menzel’s clients include first-time buyers, ultra-high-net-worth individuals, empty nesters, and seniors — and she matches them all to luxury homes, lakefront getaways, condominiums, farms, ranches, and every kind of dream property imaginable.

Joining the Fort Worth office:

Joseph Romero

Joseph Romero is a collaborator: He views every adventure with his clients as a partnership. At the heart of his business is his well-known dedication to exceptional client service, and he is most proud of his repeat clients, who come back because he also makes every experience easy and enjoyable. Outside of work, Romero is active in his community, including being an ambassador for the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo and a facilitator at The WARM Place. Fun facts: Joseph grew up in a small town in Central Texas and is the youngest of three boys.

Michelle Scarborough

This Austin native and Baylor alum came to North Texas by way of Granbury, where she lived and taught elementary school for 18 years. She decided to turn her longtime hobby — refurbishing vintage furniture and home goods — into a full-time business. Thanks to her strong communication skills, unwavering patience and goal-oriented mindset, Scarborough’s transition to real estate three years ago has been a smooth one. She is a wife, mother of four, passionate traveler, Texas Rangers fan, church volunteer, and dog owner.

Emma Gardner

A returning member of the brokerage, Emma Gardner boasts 11 years of experience in residential real estate. After graduating from Texas State, she worked in marketing for a commercial real estate firm — until she discovered her passion for the residential side of things. Gardner lives in Fort Worth’s Monticello neighborhood with her husband, son, and two dogs, and her interests outside of work include interior design, antiquing, and home-improvement projects.

Joining the brokerage’s Commercial Division team in Fort Worth:

Lester Day

A Dallas-Fort Worth native and real estate veteran, Lester Day joins the brokerage as the director of its Commercial Division team in Fort Worth. Day has spent the last four decades working in every sector of the industry. With an emphasis on land investment and development, his expertise ranges from zoning ordinances and entitlements to acquisitions and dispositions. As a licensed broker responsible for more than $1.7 billion in direct sales activity, Day possesses a holistic understanding of the market.

Stephanie Culver

Stephanie Culver is an expert in commercial properties, with specialization in recreational vehicle parks, campgrounds, and marinas. In addition to holding multiple roles throughout her 15-year career in commercial real estate, she spent three years working in marketing and development for an architecture firm. Among clients, she is known for her ability to uncover new revenue opportunities and implement cost-saving strategies. Fun fact: Culver is a civilian volunteer for the Fort Worth Fire Department.

The best of the best — but how?

So, back to our initial question: How does Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty continue to attract the best agents in the business? It’s a secret recipe, but we know that it involves the following components:

Reputation

Based in offices across Dallas and Fort Worth, the agents of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty are the most respected professional agents in the business — backed by the world’s most powerful and prestigious realty brand and by the industry’s best tech, training, support and marketing. This is the brokerage that has had a sterling reputation since its founding in 1960. That is legacy.

Brands

No other brokerage combines such local preeminence and stability — Briggs Freeman was founded in North Texas in 1960 — with the global reach of the world’s most respected real estate brand, Sotheby’s International Realty. That also means day-one exposure for agents and their properties on sothebysrealty.com and more than 100 other sites, plus business potential with 27,000 Sotheby’s International Realty agents worldwide.

Culture

Agents there are part of a squad like no other at a brokerage like no other, built on excellence, integrity, respect and fun. The helpful and positive Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty community is a team in every way, which can translate to off-market sales, listings sold in-house and more. Also, there is a real spirit of giving back to the communities where agents live and work, including the brokerage’s own Love Your Neighbors program of charitable giving through the year.

Marketing

Agents’ businesses tend to boom when they join this brokerage. A part of that is the unparalleled support from its in-house team of marketing professionals, each working to help them achieve success. No brokerage offers more, including user-friendly digital marketing tools, a strategic yearly custom marketing plan that aligns with agents’ business goals and a personal Marketing Advisor to help them with their marketing, business and much more.

Training

Agents and their business can grow with Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty’s unique and effective training. The brokerage’s proprietary Success Center is a digital hub for valuable education and training resources. Its impactful company meetings — online and in person — are packed with quality content, guest speakers, industry trends and more. And the brokerage’s Ninja Selling–based program can help build value, relationships and business success.

Technology

Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty offers industry-leading technology unavailable anywhere else — including first-to-know search-and-discovery tools; seamless transaction management; and a one-stop portal for client-relationship management, marketing assets, contracts and more.

The takeaway from all of this? Agents are freed to do what they do best: connect great people with great homes and properties. If you are — or know of — a career-professional agent, reach out through the brokerage’s special page: briggsfreeman.com/join-us.
