These Wylie Homes Are Sure to Wow Texas Buyers

En route to Rockwall from my home in Plano last weekend, I came upon a small town on the northeast corner of the metroplex. Driving through the quiet downtown district, I noticed a quaint community feel that seems almost unheard of these days. It was a refreshing step back in time. Since I’ve only just started exploring all the North Texas corridors, I had to check my coordinates. When I learned I was in Wylie, I was inspired to explore.

With a population of just over 57,000, Wylie is one of the smaller suburbs in the North Texas area. However, this small town packs a rich history. The Gulf, Colorado, and Santa Fe Railway laid tracks a half mile north of the original townsite in 1886. The downtown district has survived several natural disasters, including a tornado, hailstorm, and wildfires. Yet, this tenacious Texas town has managed to stay strong and steadily expand.

These days, Wylie is home to some incredible properties which I’m excited to share with you on this edition of Suburb Sunday. Let’s have a look.

A Custom Home With An Incredible Layout

203 Lago Grande Trail

  • 4 Bedrooms, 4 Bathrooms
  • 4,079 Square Feet
  • $995,000

The first home I’m excited to feature has a one-of-a-kind floor plan that unfolds around breathtaking views.

“It’s a completely custom build,” said listing agent Tanna Pendleton with Northbrook Realty Group. “There’s nothing like it on the market. The whole home was designed to complement the stunning views of its surroundings. It truly feels like you’re in a treehouse.”

The home is part of the Seis Lagos community, which is also one of the most coveted neighborhoods in Wylie.

“The community is just incredible,” said Pendleton. “I’m a resident here myself and just love all the nature that surrounds us. There are six lakes in the neighborhood which is where the name Seis Lagos comes from. There is also an abundance of amenities like a pool, tennis courts, and more.”

A Wylie Creekside Retreat with a Resort Feel

1607 Genevieve Drive

  • Five Bedrooms, Four Bathrooms
  • 4,194 Square Feet
  • $775,000

Our next home is as spacious as it is stylish with sophisticated updates throughout.

“They did an incredible job on the renovations,” said listing agent Shubhra Bhattacharya with RE/MAX DFW Associates. “This kitchen is absolutely beautiful with a gas range, quartz counters, and maple cabinets.

Of course, the true appeal of this home is the outdoor oasis that awaits out back.

“The current owners purchased this home because of how exquisite the backyard is,” said Bhattacharya. “It gives off a unique resort feel and backs up into a beautiful creek. Also, the pristine swimming pool is perfect for lounging all summer long.”

An Open Concept on a Corner Lot

900 Birchwood Drive

  • 3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms
  • 2,228 Square Feet
  • $485,000

The last home this week is an excellent choice for those who love to entertain.

“The layout of this home is so inviting and open,” said listing agent Donna Nichols with Ebby Halliday. “I really love how the kitchen overlooks the entire living room. It’s perfect for entertaining. Also, a split bedroom arrangement means extra privacy for the master suite.”

The exterior of this home has a lot to offer as well.

“The home sits on a huge corner lot,” said Nichols. “It also runs along a protected nature preserve so residents can enjoy the outdoors and will never have to worry about overdevelopment in the future. It is a perfect home for all family types.”
