So often when scouting properties to feature, we will locate a fantastic home but a lacking location or homesite. Other times the property is magnificent but the home is not much to write about. What a treat when the home, homesite, and location are all fun and exciting and worth writing about. That is what we found located in the heart of the Ridglea Hills neighborhood near Luther Lake. Surrounded by beautiful mature trees on a 2-acre homesite sits a beautiful four-bedroom Colonial home at 4132 Tamworth Road.

This home exudes a stately presence amongst the trees.

The Trees of Ridglea Hills

The beauty of the Ridglea Hills neighborhood is the amazing number of mature trees throughout the entire community. The home at 4132 Tamworth, built in 1966, appears as if the home was almost built around the trees.

Check out all those trees and proximity to Luther Lake.

Both the front and back yards are worth enjoying. So often you will find a home that is pushed so close to the street in order to get any sort of backyard that the lack of front space makes the home look awkward.

However, 4132 Tamworth has a deep front yard and a nice circle driveway that gives you plenty of opportunity to take in the home and homesite.

The backyard also has a beautiful canopy of trees and lawn space to run and play. Immediately off the home is a patio to enjoy outdoor dining or casual hanging out. Walk a few steps further to find a relaxing pool surrounded by trees that act as a privacy screen.

It doesn’t get more private than this

Traditional But Functional

The interior of 4132 Tamworth is a traditional layout that you would expect from a Colonial-inspired home. Upon entry to the right is a formal dining area and to the left is a private study or second living room.

The kitchen sits in the middle of the first floor and has an open feel from large openings into the family room. In the kitchen are stainless double ovens, a gas cooktop, and a built-in refrigerator. There is plenty of cabinet and pantry storage throughout the kitchen.

The kitchen has tons of cabinets and opens to the family room through archways.

The family room and adjacent bonus room (currently being used as a breakfast room but would make a perfect toy room, craft area, or playroom) are where everyone will gather. High ceilings with wooden beams give the room a spacious feel.

The family room is large but homey

French doors lead to the patio where you can grill or just enjoy being outdoors under the canopy of trees in the back.

Didn’t I tell you this was a great property?

In total, 4132 Tamworth is 3,378 square feet with four bedrooms, three-and-one-half bathrooms with a private study, formal dining room, family room, and bonus room off the family. Not only is the home enjoyable from the inside but obviously from the outside as well.
