When your condo is selected for a home tour, it’s the ultimate recognition that you’ve chosen a fantastic location and a complete affirmation that your style and taste will inspire others.

This Vendome luxury condominium was featured on The 21st-annual Turtle Creek Association’s Living Large Tour of Homes hosted by our own Candy Evans, who could not say enough about it.

“Turtle Creek is an icon, and so is the Vendome,” Candy said. “This is a home that envelopes you in warmth and love. It’s bathed in natural light and in an incredible location. I have never seen such beautiful views.”

The choice was clear when David and Elyce Walthall decided to leave the big suburban home behind to explore sky-high living. The Vendome captured their hearts.

“We are original owners,” David said. “Our children were grown, and my wife and I wanted to be closer to the restaurant scene and cultural activities and enjoy a lock-and-leave lifestyle as we spend a lot of time at our second home.”

They settled on one of the A-units, which wrap the corner of Turtle Creek and Lemmon Avenue, offering unobstructed panoramic views over Turtle Creek and downtown Dallas.

The Vendome A-units offer private elevators directly from the garage to the residence, which was extremely appealing to the Walthalls. They were able to configure the condo to showcase their extensive art collection and create a study open to the living room.

The study was designed by taking out a wall and looks like an extension of the living area, increasing the feeling of spaciousness. That feeling continues throughout the 4,208-square-foot, two-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom condo.

“What is so wonderful is the Turtle Creek environment,” David said. “You see greenery from every window, a huge advantage over other buildings. We are also in a wonderfully walkable neighborhood.”

An amenity-driven lifestyle has been a bonus, with no worries about landscaping, pool maintenance, or gym memberships. It’s all taken care of in your HOA fees.

“The thing that is really nice is that the Vendome offers three guest suites comparable to a luxury hotel, Allie Beth Allman listing agent Erin Mathews said. “When you have guests, they frequently want to stay in their own space, so this is an excellent amenity.”

The Vendome rarely has availability because it has long been the preferred luxury high-rise for those seeking privacy, security, excellent staff, proximity to the city’s heart, and, of course, views.

This is an exciting opportunity to enjoy what has kept the Walthalls in place for almost 20 years. They are only moving to accommodate their ever-expanding art collection, and yes, they are still embracing sky-high living!
