This Cute Remodeled Home With a Pool Near Casa View Won’t Break The Bank

Sometimes you look at a house and say “Oh, how cute is that?” Then you flip through and see the backyard with the way cool pool and a big old lot, and think “DANG, this comes with it, too?”

And considering the market right now, where interest rates are reducing buying power and making what was once a budget for a home in the $400s now one for a home in the $300s, all those extras make a big difference.

A Cute Casa View Street

And here we are on Fern Drive. A cute street name, too. There’s a street called Crampton’s Gap up in Richardson, and though living there is a life goal because, hello, it’s Crampton’s Gap, I’d much prefer to spell out “Fern” over the phone when I’m handing out my address like advice nobody asked for.

In addition to that wowee-zowee pool (with a fountain!), there’s the location. This home is near Casa View. Dear, sweet, relatively affordable Casa View with its close proximity to shopping, restaurants, and the No. 1 attraction here, there, and everywhere in East Dallas – White Rock Lake.

An Old-School Pool

That pool out back is old school, too, with a big swath of decking surrounded by green grass, trees, shrubs, and a no-frills fence. There’s something really charming about it, too. It’s casual, easy, and breezy. A great place to gather for a rousing game of Marco Polo though, let’s get real, we’re all going to cheat and peek because who has the patience?!?

Updates Inside

The inside of this little cottage is updated. The kitchen and bathrooms were renovated and the original hardwoods were refinished in a dark stain to contrast the white on the walls and cabinets. In fact, the hardwoods are just about the only thing original in this home. The wiring has been redone, the plumbing, the roof, part of the attic decking, sliding doors, water lines, water heaters, walls and paint. Literally, a page worth of things. All since 2017, too.

It’s a sleek little home that’s move-in ready. The red front door and front porch are cute as can be and Ebby Halliday’s Dawn Ledesma pointed out that this neighborhood also has the option of Dallas STEM schools.

Ledesma also called out the fourth bedroom that can be used as a secondary living room, office, or workout room.

There’s fresh paint throughout and fresh carpet in the Primary, plus there are those way cool eight-by-two-foot decorative beams that run along the ceiling. An easy update that makes for a nice look. High fives all around, Fern.

Ledesma has 10466 Fern Drive listed for $395,000.
