Down the road from one of Dallas’s premier hot spots for shopping and dining, Vickery Place offers scenic streets and a tight-knit community. Here, a postcard-worthy midcentury Americana vibe meets all the excitement of Lower Greenville. Within this one-of-a-kind community, a classic Craftsman just flew off the market and it truly caught our eye.

Sharon Redd and Monica Maldonado of Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate have listed 5541 Richard Ave for $1.295 million. This four-bed, three-and-a-half-bath home is a knockout, combining elements of classic Craftsman style with modern elegance.

From the street, you can see just how much went into the design. With a dynamic façade and high-pillared porch, this home beckons to those who admire great architecture.

“One thing I love about this home is the flow and natural light,” says listing agent Sharon Redd. “Even with the lights out the home feels well lit. People have really commented on how natural it feels and how easy it is to navigate.”

This is apparent as soon as you enter the house. You’re immediately met with beautiful hardwood flooring and a welcoming open concept. A cozy first-floor sitting room greets you to your right and a convenient flex space sits on your left. This would be perfect for a home office or bedroom.

Also, there’s a incredible formal dining room just off the sitting room. This would make a picturesque place for entertaining friends and family.

Further in, you’ll find a modern formal living room. This house has been renovated top to bottom with impeccable taste and this space really articulates the style. Therefore, it’s extremely chic.

The living room connects to a gourmet kitchen via an eat-in bar. The appliances are professional grade and sit up against beautiful white subway tile. There’s a dining area conveniently located right beside the kitchen as well.

“The primary suite is huge,” says Sharon. “The low floorplan allows for maximum use of space and this room really captures that.”

The primary is truly enormous and a perfect sanctuary with tons of natural light. Also, it features tremendous views.

The primary bathroom is a spa retreat, complete with a soaking tub, dual vanities, and a beautiful, marbled walk-in shower.

There are two other rooms and a flex space upstairs, perfect for raising a large family or inviting guests.

Outside, a cozy covered patio and porch area run right up against a vibrant, grassy back lawn. Therefore, this space is perfect for kids, pets, and playtime.

There’s so much to love about this unique listing. Also, the fact that it’s just down the road from one of the hottest areas in Dallas makes it even more attractive.

$1.295 MILLION in Vickery Park?! Even for new construction, that’s quite a hefty price tag. And to think that back in 1983, I bought my Tudor cottage in the next vintage subdivision to the northeast, the Greenville Crest addition, for its lot value: $55,000. Glad I’m keeping it in good repair!

Needless to say, at this, point, my mortgage has long been paid off. The neighborhood may be a-changing, but the only way I’m leaving my cozy home is feet first.

Best of luck to Ms. Redd and Ms. Maldonado; I’ll have to keep an eye out for their For Sale sign. May it soon say either “Pending” or “Sold”!
