This Quirky Seattle Home Has Monkeys Seeing Too Much

One of my favorite animals is the monkey. They are quirky little beasts. Their chill, devil-may-care attitude is hysterical. They are where they are supposed to be and doing what they want to be doing. Oh to be a monkey. One minute they’re flopped out on a tree branch then out of nowhere they go bongo bananas. Who knows what sets them off? 

You want to know what else is quirky? The house in this week’s column. Just so we are on the same page, it is not me describing the house as quirky, it is the listing agent. Quirky is the first word he uses in the description and it is the perfect word to describe this house.

Now usually when I look at some of these homes and write my column, this is the typical process I go through.

I cannot begin to tell you how accurate this is.

This house, however, is very much like a monkey. Quirky, but in a funny way. 

This three-bedroom, one-bath house can be found at 4067 Letitia Ave South, Seattle, Washington. It has 1,264 square feet and is listed at $487K.

Let me just say, the owner liked bright colors a lot. Like a lot, a lot.

The purple trim really makes the lime green walls pop, would you not agree? But where is the whimsy, you ask?

Only monkeys would think that is a perfect place for a ray gun collection. 

Oh yeah, and all of your board games, too. Think of all the closet space you save if you kept your games glued to the ceiling. That is some big brain thinking right there.

Now the kitchen floor is pretty awesome in a Wizard of Oz kind of way.

I cannot even begin to guess what the monkeys did to the ceiling in this room. 

The lighting fixture would be great for swinging around and it seems there is a little platform where they can congregate and plan their next attack.

Nothing I have shown you so far compares to the bathroom. The lone bathroom in this house.

Only a monkey would be able to access those mirrors. But that is not what I want to bring to your attention.

Now, these monkeys are quite the rascals. They have stolen the toilet paper and they are shaking an empty liquor flask. I think it is their way of protesting being forced to watch everyone do their business. They are going to need another flask.

I do not know about the rest of the monkeys in the world, but I think we can all agree that we know what would make these two specific monkeys go bongo bananas.
