Bella Custom Homes Offers Build to Suit Perfection in Castle Hills

For nearly three decades, Bella Custom Homes has been crafting beautifully-appointed homes with stunning architecture in Dallas’s most prominent neighborhoods. Awe-worthy arches, majestic great rooms, and stunning spa baths with impressive, European-imported materials are all characteristic of a Bella Custom Home.

With that level of opulence, you might expect the cost to become astronomical, but the team at Bella Custom Homes has the build-to-suit process down to a science. Graduate Master Builder Tony Visconti and Vice President and Lead Interior Designer Stacy Brotemarkle work with buyers every step of the way and make the custom home-building process more transparent and straightforward for consumers.

CandysDirt.com Approved Builder Bella Custom Homes is one of the few Dallas builders to offer an all-inclusive custom building package. Every home starts with a detailed spec document — some 65 pages or so — that details every single finish and material in the home. These in-depth plans help Visconti and the team offer accurate fixed pricing upfront with no surprises on the backend.

Visconti will even help you pick out the best lot. That’s precisely what the team did for a family looking to build their dream home in Lewisville’s popular Castle Hills neighborhood.

If you’re not familiar, Castle Hills is a master-planned community located near SH 121 and Parker Road in Denton County. Developed by Bright Realty (as in ”Bum” Bright, the storied land developer and former owner of the Dallas Cowboys), the amenity-rich community features two private golf courses, a full-service country club, neighborhood dining, and retail services — all within the 2,900-acre Castle Hills community.

Nestled within Castle Hills, there’s an exclusive, guard-gated neighborhood, Enchanted Hill, that features estate homes on verdant oversized lots. Here’s where Bella Custom Homes broke ground for its newest build-to-suit home — the builder’s first in this newer section of Castle Hills.

“The clients chose a lot that sloped down towards the greenbelt, but they needed a more flat backyard,” Brotemarkle says. “They’re a family with young kids, so the backyard was really important to them.”

Of course, Enchanted Hill and Castle Hills are appropriately named because of their hilly, sloping topography. Sloping lots can be a challenge for builders, but Visconti is especially experienced in challenging topography and unique soil conditions.

“You really need an experienced builder who is familiar sloped or topography lots, challenging soil conditions, and soil injections, as well as retaining walls,” Visconti says. “It’s very important because this is the base of everything.”

The discerning clients selected Lloyd Lumpkins of L. Lumpkins Architects as the architect for the approximately 8,000-square-foot classical yet transitional French home. The white stucco home has five bedrooms, seven baths, and a three-car garage.

Inside you’ll find all the trappings of busy family life. Game and media rooms for entertainment, a study for quiet time, and a craft and exercise rooms for some needed “me” time. The primary suite has a huge veranda overlooking the pool below and the greenbelt beyond.

The backyard is especially impressive. The clients decided on a massive 46-foot by 25-foot negative edge pool with spa and firepit. The backyard is complete with a large covered patio, outdoor cooking station, and grassy lawn. “It’s one of the largest pools we’ve designed, but this backyard oasis is perfect for entertaining,” Brotemarkle says.

The result will be a custom home that’s perfectly built for this young family. “They really enjoyed the whole design process and we can’t wait to see this beautiful home come to life,” Visconti says.
