Is This Victor Street Craftsman The Most Adorable Bungalow Ever?

I’m not one to second-guess an expert in their trade, so it’s with great hesitation that I bring this argument to you, dear reader, to decide:

Is this Craftsman on Victor Street the most adorable bungalow ever?

That’s exactly what Coldwell Banker Realty’s Nyda Faith said about this Junius Heights home. I mean, there are a lot of cute bungalows in the neighborhood — some of which you could even classify in the realm of super cute. But this one, Faith explained, has a leg up on the competition.

It’s move-in ready, for starters. When you buy a home that’s almost 100 years old (this particular Craftsman bungalow was built in 1924) you have to figure that there are going to be a few projects. However, if you shudder at the thought of living through a scene from the 1986 cinematic masterpiece that was Tom Hanks and Shelley Long in The Money Pit, rest easy knowing that all this house is missing is the contents of your moving van.

“Each room captivates your interest and oozes charm and character,” Faith said. “The huge private backyard is an oasis in the city and features a large covered deck for entertaining.”

And if you manage to snag this cute house, you’ll be entertaining, alright. The neighborhood is known for its conviviality, and that front porch is going to be getting plenty of traffic. Drink your coffee and wave at your neighbors from the shaded comfort of the large, covered space.

Inside, this house is such a show-off.

There are three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a very cute and functional kitchen, formal dining and living, and a bonus room across 1,780 square feet.

The whole home received a refresh in the past two years, with new hardwood floors and a new bathroom in 2020 and fresh exterior paint and foundation work in 2019. There’s room for a home office just off the kitchen, and there’s a large bedroom in the back of the home that has two closets.

So, what do you think?

Is this Junius Heights Craftsman at 5605 Victor Street the most adorable bungalow ever? If you think it is, you’ll want to reach out to Nyda Faith, who has listed the home for $569,900.
