We’ve all heard real-estate agents say a property’s use is limited by your imagination.

Upon taking a look at the Far North Dallas house listed on the Zillow Gone Wild social media platforms, you get what the agents mean.

From the outside, it looks like any other Texas brick suburban house. The difference is that this 5,768-square-foot house anchors a block full of smaller single-story, ranch-style homes at Southview Lane and Coit Road. Its $989,000 listing price is more than the average value on the block.

On the inside, it’s easy to see how this 5,768-square-foot house on 13229 Southview Lane made Zillow Gone Wild, which displays eye-catching real-estate listings across the country on Instagram and Facebook.

Mark Cain, who works as a real-estate agent with Compass, is listing the property, which has been on the market for nearly 100 days. Some crowd-sourced sleuthing has determined the house is a former AT&T data center. The builder had a zoning exception for public-utility use as an electrical switching center before later being leased for medical office data storage.

According to the Fielder Property Group, the house can only be used as a data center, so there goes that Alan Parsons Project idea. AT&T told D Magazine that the facility was built as a “potential network site by a company we acquired. It was never used and was sold years ago.”

Dallas agent Ace Lahli gave CBS11 a tour of the property and called it “probably the most unusual property that I have ever come across, to say the least. If you’re getting ready for the zombie apocalypse this could be where you would want to be.”

You’d like to see Chip and Joanna Gaines get ahold of this house. Chip loves to crash through sheetrock and Joanna shiplaps the heck out of everything. But the Gaines would be hard-pressed to improve the curb appeal of the property, except maybe replacing the industrial doors and blacked-out windows. Maybe a few flowers and better sod would spruce it up. On the interior, you know Chip would try to crash through the concrete walls. And Joanna would put a kitchen island to distract from the massive diesel generator.

It’s an interesting property. If you can swing the deal, your imagination will run wild.
