A Reimagined Meadow From Josh Zielke Homes

Over on Meadow Road there’s a house that Ebby Halliday’s Victoria Barr de Quinones hesitates to call modern. Instead, she said it has a 2020s vibe with nice, sharp, clean lines. It’s warm and inviting with an effortless flow for easy living and even easier entertaining.

A couple of years ago, it was completely reimagined by Josh Zielke Homes. He said from the moment he and the owners met, they were on the same page. They both had a vision and now it’s beautifully executed in a very real way.

Right from the start, Zielke said the home had a fantastic mid-century feel to it and they wanted to enhance those lines, but make it feel open and inviting, too.

One of the coolest features is the wood lined wall in the entry way. Zielke said it was inspired by a trip to Palm Springs. He said hanging art is always an option, but in this case, they wanted to make the entire wall a work of art. He said to achieve the look, they used pine wood strips with an essentially custom chestnut stain over the top.

As you wander through the photos, you realize that’s another theme for the home, materials that are simple in appearance, but hand-selected to perfection. The flooring, the cabinetry, down to the tile in in the shower – everything comes together to create the most brilliant freaking backdrop for you furniture, art, everything. It’s a superior skill and one Zielke and the homeowners clearly excel at. There’s nothing fussy, pretentious, or superfluous in this house. Everything is intentional.

Out back there’s a massive pool that Barr de Quinones called “old school, resort-style, huge and deep-deep.” It’s surrounded by lush bamboo so you really feel like you’re lounging elsewhere. It’s the type of backyard where like it or not, your friends and family are going to flock. And that’s where Barr de Quinones’ other favorite feature comes in. The location. It’s right across from the elementary school so you have parking for days on nights and weekends.

There’s an Open House both days this weekend so if you’d like to see 6931 Meadow Road in person, stop by Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11 from 1 to 4 p.m. both days. Barr de Quinones has this three-bedroom, two-and-two-half-bathroom home listed at $775,000.
