Peek Into 3 Multimillion-Dollar Homes in One of America’s Most-Affordable Suburbs

Share News:

A few months ago, Realtor.com ranked Cedar Hill second on its list of most-affordable suburbs in America. It was a sensible choice given the city’s home prices, its locale to a downtown metro area, and price per square foot.

But, just out of curiosity, let’s go the other way. What about the priciest homes in Cedar Hill? According to Realtor.com, five homes are priced at $1 million-plus, two are pending sale, leaving us three to browse in the 75104 Lake Ridge neighborhood.

BTW, the three homes are so tucked into the Cedar Hill hills that the little Google Street View Man won’t let us drop in for a drive-by look.

A House High on the Hills

Address: 2449 Mountain View Court, Cedar Hill
8 bedrooms, 8.5 baths
13,739 square feet
4.38-acre lot
$9,950,000

This 2-year-old mansion on a high point in Cedar Hill is hidden in the Lake Ridge hills, but it’s no secret. It’s been featured on news websites throughout Texas and overlooks Joe Pool Lake and a chunk of the Dallas-Fort Worth area to the west. “You can see all the way through downtown Fort Worth, across through (AT&T Stadium in Arlington), all the way over to Las Colinas. Truly, you believe you own the Metroplex,” listing agent Jim Walsh told KETK in Tyler.

The three-story home, which has not had any full-time residents, has eight bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and two half-bathrooms. It opens to a breathtaking million-dollar staircase. The resort-style pool has waterfalls with a poolside cabana and outdoor kitchen. It has a six-car garage, wine room, and gourmet kitchen. Throughout the home are detailed arches, built-in cabinets, showcase fireplaces, wood details on the ceiling, and a fish tank. The primary wing, which features the 20- by 16-foot main bedroom, has an attached nursery and a room designated for dog grooming. As of Aug. 7, the square-foot price was $724.

Jim Walsh with Allie Beth Allman and Associates has listed 2449 Mountain View Court for $9.95 million.

Your Creekwood Castle Awaits

Nearly 4.5 miles south of the Mountain View Court mansion is this custom-built home that also features a westward view of the lake and parts of D/FW. The home has antique pine flooring, heavy, stacked moldings, and a gourmet kitchen. The third-floor master retreat offers the property’s best view and has a full-size sitting area, two fireplaces, and a six-person spa. The resort-style pool has a tile slide, waterfalls, and a beach entry. It has a 952-square-foot separate two-bedroom guest house. If you’re not tired enough from walking through the 8,213-square-foot home, you can work on your backhand with a full-size tennis court.

A Stone Cold Fox of a Home

Address: 1737 Valley View Drive, Cedar Hill
4 bedrooms, 4 baths
3,100 square feet
22.13-acre lot

If you like the look of stone, this is the place. The stone look is everywhere, inside and outside, like a castle. This home sits on a 22.13-acre lot in middle of 150 acres of undeveloped land, making it one of the most secluded properties in Dallas County. This home has an opposite view — most of D/FW can see the general vicinity of this property. It’s just south of the Cedar Hill radio and TV commmunication antennas. The 14 towers represent the highest concentration of radio/TV towers in the U.S. The property is like a private retreat with room for 25-plus guests and amenities that include a heated pool, hiking trails, zip lines, game rooms, 15-foot outdoor movie screen, and 150-foot waterslide ravine.
