How Do You Describe This Charming Home Without Repeating Charming? Watch Us Try

Sometimes you fall in love with a house. And sometimes you fall in love with the décor. And then on those very rare occasions, angels sing and golden harps play and a glitter rainbow appears somewhere in the distance.

This immaculate tudor at 5827 Morningside is one of those. It’s just so great. And those snow-covered pictures, COME ON. That’s dedication on behalf of the agent and seller and they both get gold frosty-covered stars.

Here’s the thing we’re going to struggle with on this one — New and inventive ways to say it’s charming as in OH MAN, IT IS SO CHARMING. Did you see that it’s set on a hill? CHARMING? And that arched doorway flanked by the arched windows? CHARMING. Plus all the built-ins? SO DANG CHARMING. All those built-ins, by the way, add an abundance of storage and display nooks for days.

Dave Perry-Miller’s Ashley Early also made a note of all the windows filling the house with natural light. Not always the case with a classic Tudor.

There are four bedrooms though Early said the third one downstairs is HUGE and would be a great playroom or office, or could even be used as the primary. There’s access to the patio from that third bathroom and a gorgeous backyard awaits. And there will be a day when we unbundle and head back outside.

The galley kitchen has been updated and outfitted with granite countertops and stainless steel. It also has access to the backyard which makes loading up your tin pan of burgers (or meatless patties) a breeze.

Currently, the entire second level is used as a primary suite and it’s BIG. As in fit a king bed up there with a desk off to the side and a crib and oh, what’s that around the corner? It’s a queen bed. As you can see all the ceilings upstairs are vaulted and it makes for a very unique space. It feels a little old-timey, a little regal, a lil’ special. It could be your bedroom and it’s fabulous.

The substantial bathroom is also something special. There are dual vanities, a spread-your-wings-but-don’t-fly shower, and gorgeous onyx countertops. Tucked under that vaulted bathroom is a utility room to boot.

Out back, there’s a covered area with storage and two of four walls that can be used as an open-air living room. But if you wanted to, Early said it could quite easily be converted (back) to a garage.

All this and it’s in the heart of the M Streets? You know what that is? CHARMING. Go see for yourself, Early will be hosting an Open House on from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21.

This four-bedroom, three-bathroom home at 5827 Morningside is listed by Ashley Early of Dave Perry-Miller for $779,000.
