Share News:

There’s a lot of action in the Medical District as homes are moving like hot cakes in the Dallas neighborhood. But we found two that are currently available and too good to pass up!

Both are primely sited in the Medical District with fantastic interiors and low-maintenance lawns. The big difference? Their price points are miles apart. Which would you choose, the splurge on Mockingbird Lane or the steal on Dorothy Avenue? Take your pick in our latest Splurge vs. Steal.

Splurge: Medical District Stunner On Mockingbird Lane For $699,999

Hello splurge! This looker on Mockingbird Lane just took a price cut and is ready for its rightful new owner. The Medical District home has clean lines, an easy open layout, and tons of natural light.

There are three-bedrooms, three-full-bathrooms, plus an office and a flex room to do with as you please. We love the master suite with all the designer tiles, and the marble kitchen offers a gracious open feel with ample countertops, island, and cabinetry. A brick focal wall adds character to the culinary space.

And the punchy upgraded baths throughout offer unique color combos and textures.

You will also enjoy a fantastic balcony overlooking the fenced backyard and a 24-foot motorized security gate for peace of mind. According to the listing this gem is “designer remodeled in a fantastic location.” We couldn’t agree more.

Christie Cannon with Keller Williams Frisco Stars has listed 5346 W. Mockingbird Lane for $699,999.

And now for our steal! Perhaps a low-maintenance attached home is more your speed? Then look no further than this lovingly maintained Medical District find on Dorothy Avenue. It’s a beauty with an inviting flagstone patio and courtyard.

Inside, there are two-bedrooms, two-full-and-one-half-bathrooms, plus a maple-clad kitchen with wine fridge, and 2,409-square-feet to entertain.

The upper level houses the master suite with a cozy fireplace and ensuite bath. There is also a spacious open area for a study or second living space.

This place is dog-friendly too and offers a nice dog park across the street to pamper your pooches. Nearby access to West Highland Park seals the deal!

Your splurge house has absolutely no curb appeal….no wonder it’s a price drop. Not sure splurge is the s-word I’d use to describe it.
