Elaine Romero’s series titled “Addison Sloan Art Out of Chaos… Love.”

Ok, let’s get serious. If you want a unique holiday gift, it’s time to start shopping. There are precisely 61 days until December 25th. Yep, two months. Not to worry! Your elves at Candysdirt.com are continually researching the most exciting and talented new artists in Dallas who can make your holidays merry and bright— and make you look like a superstar gift-giver.

We all think we can’t afford art, and that is simply not true. Think about what you spend on a pair of designer shoes. You can get a holiday gift that won’t show scuff marks or have to be constantly polished for about the same price, and it will last forever.

This week we’re showcasing an amazing designer’s work. You may know Elaine Romero as an award-winning interior designer who specializes in high-end luxury homes as well as corporate and hospitality projects. In other words, she’s been there and done that, and with consummate style.

She’s also designing her first retail product collection, and in her spare time, creates art. Her Addison Sloan Art collection is in a myriad of mediums, including ink, oils, acrylics, and resin.

“My wish is that every single time you look at your new art piece you will have joy and triumph in your heart!”

How does she have spare time, you ask? Those who are passionate about what they do, find the time, and Addison Sloan Art makes the ultimate holiday gift.

Although she began her “Out of Chaos… Love” series before the pandemic, it’s particularly fitting for our current situation. When you happen upon creative folks, they seem to share the same outlook and experience. They have traveled widely, and they do see the world through rose-colored glasses, despite any setbacks life throws at them. Thank goodness for that because it’s what we all need right now.

“My work has been described as ethereal, whimsical, pop, thought-provoking, emotional, and sometimes irreverent.”

If you’re looking for a lasting and meaningful holiday gift, you can find Addison Sloane Art at one of my favorite local purveyors, the fabulous Talulah & Hess shop in Lakewood.

I have known Elaine for 18 years. She is the consummate professional, and without a doubt, the most talented and versatile person I know. She has staged and remodeled many homes for me, including my own. I can’t wait to purchase some of her beautiful art.
