This cottage in Oak Cliff has been redone from top to bottom, and let’s talk about that top.

The ceilings are covered in cedar planks that have been acid washed so someone call Bugle Boy because that look is back. If the remodelers went to that level of detail, you can guarantee there’s been some thought that’s one into this makeover.

Refinished hardwoods throughout, a hint of open shelving in the kitchen, a deep, deep farmhouse sink, shiny, new stainless steel appliances in the kitchen delightfully offset by the warmth of butcher block countertops, a matte black faucet, a huge walk-in pantry, classic, clean white and gray bathrooms with a dual vanity in the primary, a mudroom, new windows, new roof, no new sod, but hey, you can’t have it all, right? After talking with Keller Williams’ Aubrey Pearson, we were already sold, but his neighborhood knowledge pushed it over the edge.

Obviously, we all know that some areas of Oak Cliff are in transition, so what you see may not always be what’s going to stay.

Pearson said that is very much the case on W. 10th Street, where this cottage is located. Now, he can’t tell the future and nothing he shared is gospel, but it’s a good start.

He said the six lots across the street have been purchased so something new is on its way. The house to the left recently got a paint job so a full rehab is likely imminent and up the road, developers received approval for luxury townhomes. Focus on luxe.

Now back on W. 10th, there are quite a few rehabbed homes to choose from, but this one has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, two living areas, and a grand total of 2,043 square feet and it’s listed for $389,900.
