Summertime in Texas means heat, but that heat shouldn’t keep you from enjoying outdoor living.

A comfortable outdoor area should feel like an extension of your stylish indoor living rooms. Using the same color palette and aesthetic tricks the eye into believing you’ve added extra square footage to your home.

Determine Purpose

Lamps add ambiance when the sun goes down. Add decorative string lights and bring the resort vibe home with rattan pendants above the dining table. Please make sure they are wet-rated, so you don’t accidentally burn down your beautiful, new outdoor living area!

There’s not a big difference between creating a living area inside or outside, but there are considerations, especially when it comes to fabrics and materials that can stand up to all kinds of weather. Just remember, you never have to sacrifice style to enjoy the outdoors!
