Princeton, Texas, is a forgotten gem between McKinney and Greenville. It offers great homes, lots of land, a stellar school system, and low cost of living.

Case in point: A five-bedroom rental at 1979 Mercer Lane is now leasing for just $2,450 per month.

Times have certainly changed in recent weeks as the number of Texans testing positive for COVID-19 climbs. And while there aren’t a lot of open houses available to tour or real estate transactions topping the priority list, we’re always in the market for a good deal.

This is the best we’ve seen in quite a while, and the time to pounce is now.

Welcome Home

This charming 2,692-square-foot home is in one of Princeton’s most sought-after subdivisions, DeBerry Estates

There’s plenty of room for a growing family. The home has one and one-half stories, two master bedrooms, and a large fenced-in backyard.

With five bedrooms and three bedrooms, this rental price is as good as it gets. The tenant also gets a furnished refrigerator, washer, and dryer. Wood floors provide a nice polished look to set off wrought-iron balusters. Dual sinks, a standalone shower, and garden tub are featured in the main master. A covered patio awaits for unwinding after a long day of social distancing

Princeton Charm

The city of Princeton has a population of 11,000 and was founded in 1888. It’s one of the fastest-growing cities in Collin County, just 30 miles from Dallas. It’s eight miles from Collin County International Airport and home to the 4A Princeton school district

B-ranked Leta Horn Smith Elementary School, A-ranked Clark Junior High, and B-ranked Princeton High School are nearby for those holding out hope that the kiddos might actually one day return to the brick-and-mortar schoolhouse.

You may have to venture out to McKinney or Fairview for a bite to eat — although there are some local family-owned restaurants — but aren’t we all just using Grubhub these days anyway?
