Look On The Bright Side At 2962 Satsuma Drive

Share News:

At 2962 Satsuma Drive, you’ll find a top-to-bottom, inside-and-out remodel recently completed. The description is a little lacking as the listing agent is also the owner so more than likely if you want the deets, just place a call. Or you can just read along.

Off the bat, you have to love that sunny yellow front door and the modern wood accents on the exterior. The rock chimney is a keeper and the pale gray brick looks fantastic with the white trim and garage door. The driveway looks new which you never appreciate until your mid-40s. Believe us when we say no one in their mid-20s is crushing on a pristine driveway.

Inside, let the updates begin. We can start with those floors and everything has been whited out. In a good way. It’s not gray, it’s not beige, it’s not greige, but it’s white. As in, here are all your gallery walls, go to town.

The kitchen is wide open and obviously some walls have been moved around to make this space feel so airy and endless. Open shelves in the kitchen add a modern touch and remind you how nice it is to have a shiny new dishwasher with a spot-free rinse.

In the main living, the deep wood mantle is again the perfect balance to the pristine white painted brick fireplace. Exposed beams left in the natural wood are a total “do” and they tie in with the floors perfectly.

Sliding barn-style doors lead you from the master bedroom into the master bath and the dark gray tile in there is again – drumroll – a nice change of pace. Instead of subway tile in the shower, they went with a wider white tile and offset it on the vertical. Okay, we’ll take it. If you’re missing your classic subway tile, don’t, because it’s in the guest bath in, again, a completely neutraled out space.

It’s never hard to imagine all your worldly possessions in a house like this because it’s the blank canvas you’ve been looking for. There’s nothing offensive or daring in here, you can leave all that to your blacklight posters and velvet Elvis or whatever it is you chose to decorate the space.

Out back there’s a brand new deck and new board-on-board fence. It’s not quite an eight-footer, but comes in closer to six as if to say, “I want privacy, but I’m still willing to say ‘hi’ when I see you.”

As a finishing touch out back you’ll find the same wood trim you did out front. It’s a nice little bookend and we love that thoughtful touch.

If you’re looking for an updated, three-bedroom, two-bathroom home that clocks in at 1,488 square feet and is technically located in Preston Hollow, check it out.

Technically located in Preston Hollow? So now is everything south of LBJ ,east of Stemmons ,west of Central
and north of Northwest Highway Preston Hollow?

We don’t make up the MLS areas or neighborhood plats! But yes, that’s why it’s “technically” in PH.

Nice try but no sale. Northwest Dallas . No spin zone please.

Nothing to spin really. No benefit to us either way. But ALWAYS appreciate a lively debate on the boundaries of Preston Hollow.
