Fixer Upper would be so proud

Let’s face it — we all want to be like Chip and JoJo.  Who am I talking about?  Well if you don’t know then you haven’t been paying attention over the past half-decade.

The craze that Fixer Upper has created of gray paint, white subway tile, clean lines, farm-meets-contemporary style, and of course #shiplap is as prevalent and popular as it has ever been.

It’s not that our favorite Waco family invented gray paint or subway tile … those items have been around for decades. It’s the combination of clean, bright, fresh, modern-yet-classic design that has fascinated millions of wannabe fixer-uppers across the world.

While are seeing homes in Tarrant County sit on the market a little longer than in previous years and prices plateauing, homes that are completely move-in ready and look spectacular are still selling at a brisk pace.

4004 El Campo Avenue

Tucked away in the Arlington Heights neighborhood of Fort Worth is a home that certainly been influenced by HGTV’s big hit.

Fixer Upper influenced for sure

The wood planks on the ceiling of 4004 El Campo give home a classic yet crisp look-and-feel

Upon entering the home at 4004 El Campo Ave., you’ll immediately see trendy-yet-traditional touches.  Wooden planks adorning the family room ceiling certainly give the room a comfortable and unique feel.

Of course, there is the obligatory shiplap in the dining area. Wouldn’t want to upset JoJo!

Shiplap in the dining area is a must.

The kitchen has been updated and has a wonderful open flow for this 1,947-square-foot, three-bedroom, two-bathroom home.

The kitchen has natural light and lots of counter space

Why Do People Buy A Home?

If you have paid attention to these stories over the years, you’ll certainly know that one of my bow tie mantras is: “People buy homes for floors, kitchens, and master suites.”  How many buyers have purchased based on a garage or secondary bathroom?  Probably not many.

If it’s a master suite that you like — then you’ll love the master suite in this home.

The bathroom of master suite is spacious, bright and already fixer upper’d.

Utilizing the space in the second level of the home perfectly, the master suite once again needs no fixer-uppering.

A large walk-in shower, lots of natural light, and quaint areas tucked into the roofline of the home make the master suite very attractive and ready for immediate move-in.

The backyard has good shade and charming paver drive

While TV shows and trends come and go, desired location, good use of space, classic materials, and quality workmanship will always be en vogue.  All the more reason to check out 4004 El Campo Avenue today.

This Arlington Heights Tudor 4404 at El Campo Avenue is listed for $455,000 by Chelsea Albright of the Joseph Berkes World Domination Team of Williams Trew Real Estate.
