Long Cove’s Stay and Play Weekend: The Ultimate Try Before You Buy

Share News:

You can test drive a car for the weekend or sample a high-end wine before you buy, so why can’t you sample a second home destination? At Cedar Creek Lake’s luxurious Long Cove community, you and your family can experience Long Cove’s numerous amenities at a Stay & Play preview weekend (Or any day of the week, really.)

For those looking to purchase or build a home in the master-planned lake community, Long Cove offers exclusive Stay & Play experience packages, which include lodging in one of their Camp Houses at Sunset Point, a food and beverage credit at the poolside grill, a shoreline boat tour, and full use of the community’s amenities including pool, golf, tennis courts, and fishing. They call it the ultimate hands-on, shoes off experience.

The lakefront Camp Houses are two-bedroom cabins with private master bedroom, four youth bunks, sleeper couch, and one bathroom. They’re furnished with kitchenware including wine glasses, Refrigerator, microwave, cooktop, toaster, Keurig coffee maker, and flat screen tvs. With light white-washed wood walls, dark hardwood floors, and professionally-designed decor, these aren’t like a typical cabin home. They’re more like a window-filled beach house to serve as a home base when you’re in and out all weekend with events and outdoor activities.

Take in the views on a wrap-around deck or venture a few paces to the community grill, picnic area, and lakeside bonfire pit. Each Stay & Play family gets a Hershey’s kit for S’mores. When you arrive, a member of the Long Cove team greets you at Sunset Point to give you the lay of the land with a full community tour. Plus, you’ll view Long Cove by water in a captained shoreline cruise.

Then you’re free to free to hit up the Lake Club pool, a resort-style pool with hot tub and water slide, or try out the other neighborhood amenities. The fully-stocked Toy Barn contains fishing poles, water toys, as well as sports gear, yoga mats, and community bikes — so you’re all set!

You can fish in three Bass-stocked ponds or drop your line in Cedar Creek Lake. Long Cove’s got tennis and basketball courts, plus a driving range, 9-hole course, and 2-acre putting green.

A three-day/two-night family stay runs $1,495, which includes $100 to spend at the Regatta Grill for snacks, meals, wine, and beer, and the full amount goes towards your closing when you purchase a home at Long Cove. Stay & Play really offers a chance to feel what it’s like to live at Long Cove on Cedar Creek Lake.
