Long-time Clay Stapp + Co agent Chad Meadors has joined Halo Group Realty. He said the opportunity to grow as a businessperson was his primary motivation.

According to Meadors, he never gave much serious thought to leaving the firm he had been with for eight years. A longtime friend encouraged him to visit Halo and meet founder Britt Morris.

“Early on it was evident that Halo has a family-like atmosphere and I believe that Britt and the staff have done a great job of creating camaraderie throughout the brokerage,” he said.

Meadors and Morris discussed long-term goals and how they could help each other.  In addition to real estate, Meadors is involved in several other ventures. He is currently developing some real estate technology products. He is also a partner in the metal roofing company Valor. His involvement was originally just helping a friend market a new business.  Soon, he was on board as a partner helping oversee the company’s growth.

“It’s been a labor of love and it’s starting to take off,” he said. “We do all facets of roofing, but specialize in metal, and do a lot of innovative work.”

Of course, some may remember Meadors from a 2014 D Magazine competition in which he named one of the city’s’ most eligible bachelors.

“I don’t know how that came about but it happened,” he recalled. “Unfortunately they threw me in the same round as Jamie Benn from the Dallas Stars.”

Meadors markets his real estate under the brand LUXX RE Group.  While his primary focus has been residential buyers and sellers, he’s starting to get more involved with builders, new construction and developers. The thing that he says keeps him motivated is being around people and serving as their liaison throughout the home buying process, one of the most important decisions they will ever make.

“I’m excited about growing the brand and being a source of quality,” Meadors said. “I’m not looking for 100 deals a year- that’s not me. I want to focus on quality and providing just the upmost level of service for my clients.”
