Over 2,000 Square Feet for under $300K on a Third of an Acre? It Exists!

Houses in the $200,000 range are getting more rare in Dallas and when they exist, are shrinking in size. But there are lovely exceptions around the city.

We’ve found a house with over 2,000 square feet sitting on 0.33 acres in Northwest Dallas for $299,000, reduced from $335,000 when it was first listed in July. Our Tuesday Two Hundred at 3220 Northaven Ct. sits on a cul-de-sac lot with fresh landscaping and recently installed irrigation. The interior is renovated with lots of amenities, including dual masters.

This home has five bedrooms, three bathrooms, and 2,061 square feet on one story, built in 1960. Bonus for families: it is in the attendance zone for Degolyer Elementary, which scores an 8 out of 10 from greatschools.org.

Coral Hills is an established neighborhood in Northwest Dallas, near Forest Lane and Webb Chapel Road. The houses are larger and reasonable priced, like our Tuesday Two Hundred. This street is just off the better-known Northaven Drive.

A mature tree takes center stage for the curb appeal, which is sharp with freshly painted brick. Inside, laminate floors look like the real deal and run through the entryway, living room, dining room, kitchen, and hallway. The bedrooms have new carpeting. The house has USB ports in all rooms and a new smart alarm system with video cameras, as well as a smart thermostat.

Anchoring the front living room with its vaulted ceiling, a contemporary stacked stone, wood-burning fireplace looks great, next to a large dual-pane window. The flow is natural to the dining area and kitchen.

In the galley kitchen, you’ll find granite countertops, tumbled stone backsplash, white cabinets, and stainless steel appliances.

There are two master bedrooms on opposite ends of the house, making for a perfect situation for a mother-in-law suite. In one, there is a French door leading out to the backyard. It has granite countertops, a walk-in shower, and space for a full-size washer and dryer. The other has a tub-shower combo, dual sinks, and granite countertops. Both have new tile and walk-in closets.

In back, that third of an acre really makes itself known with lots of grassy green space and a deck to look over it all with a wood privacy fence.

This home was listed July 5 by Brittany Duey with JP & Associates Realtors Plano.
