Montserrat Mansion Set for Private Auction

I’d say 10,000 feet of living on 2 acres would constitute a lovely mansion! (photos: Concierge Auctions)

What constitutes a house being called a “mansion?”

There isn’t an exact definition, but according to our friends in the web, a mansion is a large home over 8,000 square feet that has features that you wouldn’t find in your typical home.  Features such as a large foyer entrance, marble floors, a wide staircase with designer railings.  But what about the number of TVs?

Foyer in 4657 Benavente Court is very stately & impressive – make sure you count the TV’s when you walk through

Things That Make You Go ‘Wow!’

Oftentimes a mansion will have a billiards room, movie theater, multiple staircases, a butler’s kitchen, or large hearth room.  Basically if the house makes you say, “WOW!” it could be a mansion.

Imagine the tasty treats that can come from this kitchen!

Of course, 4657 Benavente Court in the privately gated community of Montserrat in southwest Fort Worth can certainly be considered a mansion.

Nearly 10,000 square feet of living, located on a breathtaking two-acre manicured parcel of land, consisting of seven bedrooms, seven full and two half bathrooms, and at least 10 large TVs, this home will make you say, “WOW!”

Not to be left out, this estate also consists of, a grand foyer, vaulted-and-beamed ceilings, impressive kitchen with all the designer appliances, formal dining room, formal living room, study or home office, a wet bar, playroom, media room, and a master retreat that, if you had to be under house arrest for the rest of your life, you would certainly be OK.

House arrest in this estate would be a piece of cake!  TV in bathroom — you can watch from the shower

But Wait, There’s More …

I feel like this is turning into an infomercial …

If it’s outdoor living and activities that really float your boat, you came to the right place.

Yeahhhh you could get used to this mansion very quickly – not to worry, plenty of outdoor TV’s as well.

This mansion at 4657 Benavente Court has a wonderful covered cabana with full kitchen, a basketball court, batting cage, and a putting green.

If you just want to chill in the pool then you will certainly enjoy the multi-level lagoon pool with diving board, slide, hot tub and spa.

How would you remember which garage bay you are supposed to use?

Finally if you just want to drive around your new mansion, but aren’t quite sure which vehicle to take, this luxury estate has attached and detached garages that offer eight parking spaces.

And The Winning Bid Goes To…

Previously this home was listed for sale at $4.499 million.  Now the home will be sold to the highest bidder at auction through Concierge Auctions on February 21.  According to John Zimmerman of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty, the home will not have a reserve.

(Now I know what you’re probably thinking … NO, they’re not going to sell this mansion for $50 even if that is the highest bidder)
