Our Thursday Three Hundred caught our eye with its handsome curb appeal. From the wraparound, welcoming porch to the charmed built-ins, this Winnetka Heights Craftsman has the classic good looks that make buyers swoon.

Located at 119 N Willomet Ave., this home has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and 1,558 square feet on one story, built in 1926.

“For the price and location this home packs a punch,” said listing agent Ged Dipprey. “Add to the equation the master has a walk-in closet and ensuite bath and I’m confident buyers will see how this one is a knock-out.”

Winnetka Heights is an absolutely fabulous neighborhood, one of the oldest and largest historical districts in Oak Cliff. In 1911, the area was advertised as “Dallas’ Ideal Suburb” by the Russell Realty Company. Today, it stands today as one of the city’s best examples of preserved, intact turn-of-the-century houses, according to the neighborhood association

The first Oak Cliff neighborhood to be rezoned, the Winnetka Heights Historic District was created by the city of Dallas in 1981. Projects of the Winnetka Heights Neighborhood Association have included park and street beautification, installation of historic street lamps, code enforcement, and Christmas Candlelight home tours. The association is dedicated to the preservation of this area as an enduring symbol of early 20th century life, while ensuring Winnetka Heights remains the most vibrant historic district in the city.

This Winnetka Heights Craftsman is just cute as can be from the curb, with historically appropriate paint colors and manicured landscaping. Walk across that wide front porch into the front dining room, which has a decorative fireplace flanked by built-in bookshelves and a high ceiling. Gorgeous hardwoods reflect light from the beautiful wavy glass original windows.

The kitchen offers updated cabinetry and tumbled marble tile countertops and backsplash, as well as stainless steel appliances. Nearby is a utility room with space for a full-size washer and dryer, as well as built-in wire shelving.

The rear master has an ensuite bath and walk-in closet, both rare amenities in an older house. All three bedrooms have hardwoods, too — no carpet in sight.

The large backyard is great for entertaining with a privacy fence and patio, as well as a raised planter bed and mature trees. Lovely.

This home was listed Aug. 18 by Ged Dipprey with Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate for $390K, lowered Tuesday to $375,000.

Fireplace surround doesn’t seem in character, and the kitchen needs a little tweaking, but I love those hardwood floors and the wraparound porch!

What a gorgeous house! The area is so quaint and I’ve heard the schools are the best in the area! I doubt it’ll be on the market long.

Reminds me of a house on Hampton Road. I remember it had a wraparound porch. The difference was the steps were on one end of the porch. Wish I could afford this house . But at 82 I’m on a fixed income .
Good luck on selling this place. It’s a masterpiece !!

So cute! I can easily imagine living here, especially on that porch!
