Stevens Park Village is a hidden gem of a neighborhood in North Oak Cliff, and our Tuesday Two Hundred is itself an rare and beautiful find.

The strikingly renovated North Oak Cliff midcentury modern at 3144 Touraine Dr. shines with a modern and functional floorplan, smart design choices, and higher-end upgrades. The staging is perfection, highlighting the great flow and adding some serious style to show off its character.

This home has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and 1,457 square feet on one story, built in 1963. It was just listed Friday, so let’s take a tour before someone snatches it up.

Stevens Park Village sits between Colorado Boulevard and the edge of the cliff, offering residents fabulous skyline views of Dallas. Its proximity to downtown Dallas makes it a sought after area. So too does the welcoming feel of the neighborhood, due in part to its wide, tree-lined streets and architectural diversity that includes charmed Austin stone, Prairie-style, and brick homes, as well as 15 homes designed by Dallas architect Charles Dilbeck.

Just blocks away from Bishop Arts, Stevens Park Golf Course, and Trinity Groves, this property offers stellar location, near Fort Worth Avenue and Westmoreland Road. Some of the upgrades include designer lighting, hardwood floors, designer paint colors, new carpet in the bedrooms, new water heater, and updated HVAC.

Perhaps the most stellar upgrade is the kitchen. It’s total eye candy with cement tile on one wall, tons of white Shaker-style cabinetry with contemporary pulls, white subway tile backsplash, a breakfast bar, wood accent wall, granite countertops, and Samsung stainless steel appliances, including a gas range.

The living room wins with its renovations, too, with midcentury chandeliers and a painted brick fireplace with wood mantel.

Both bedrooms now feature walk-in closets and custom closet systems, and both bathrooms have white subway tile and black granite countertops.

The house sits on almost a quarter of an acre, and the backyard feels large, with a privacy fence, covered patio, and mature trees.

This home was listed July 14 by Zach Mrusek with Dave Perry-Miller InTown for $289,000.

This house is super cute! I have to wonder, though: Why aren’t there any bulbs in the living room light fixtures?

This is a granny ranch, not an MCM. It’s lovely – I have a ranch and it’s my favorite kind of Dallas house, but it’s not the same as MCM.
