A home of former United States Congressman and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Jim Wright, has recently become available for sale in the Overton Woods neighborhood of Fort Worth.

The Overton Woods Neighborhood is a highly desirable neighborhood tucked between the Trinity River and Riverhills.  The area is filled with many large trees that not only cover yards, but streets as well.  Homes in Overton Woods date from the 1980s to present day.  The area is  minutes from TCU, the Trinity Trails, and downtown Fort Worth.

Course if you look too long you'll get a crick in your neck

The stately home at 4767 Overton Woods Drive is a 5,303-square-foot home that consists of six bedrooms, six-and-one-half bathrooms, and many large closets and areas for storage.

Initially built in 1980, 4767 Overton Woods Drive is designed in the Greek Revival standard of architecture.  It has a colonnaded gable front and two wings. The home has been completely updated.  Walls have been removed and updates have been implemented to make it a fresh and fashionable interior.

The freshly renovated and updated interior has a very open concept

Instead of sectioned areas, the home has more of an open concept that allows for entertaining.

On the first floor there are three bedrooms all with their own bathrooms.

I'm sure the House Ethics Committee had an idea

If walls could talk–think Speaker Wright ever had discussions at the upstairs bar and entertaining room?

Upstairs are more bedrooms as well as a secondary living area that is compete with a fireplace and full kitchen. This was one of many homes owned by former Speaker Wright, who was born in Fort Worth in 1922.
