Creekside living on a beautiful lot usually comes at a hefty price. But our Tuesday Two Hundred is a budget-friendly find with a secluded feel.

Located at 10930 Listi Dr. in Lake Highlands, this home offers great outdoor living options, with a wraparound deck and a quiet, peaceful setting. The interior features open living and dining areas, a floor-to-ceiling brick fireplace, hardwood floors, and a downstairs master.

This home has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and 1,629 square feet on two stories, built in 1980. Bonus: it’s in the attendance zone for Wallace Elementary, a family favorite in East Dallas.

This home was just listed Saturday, so let’s take a look before it gets snatched up!

Arching shade trees and mature landscaping make for cute curb appeal on this brick house, located near Walnut Hill Lane and Plano Road in a neighborhood called The Highlands. In the back, a wraparound wood deck offer multiple seating areas for enjoyment of the creekside views and natural beauty of this property. Truly lovely!

Inside, the house makes the most of its square footage, with flexible spaces that flow well together. The main living area’s vaulted ceilings give a sense of airiness, anchored by the large brick fireplace. There are two dining areas, one formal, one more casual. The kitchen offers a large island, butcher block counters, lots of cabinets, and an open feel with views of the outdoor living spaces.

The bedrooms are good sized, with the master down and two more upstairs. The master has those beautiful hardwoods and the upstairs have carpet. Both bathrooms look good and are updated with new vanities and a fresh look.

This home was listed Dec. 10 by Kevin Caskey with Dallas City Center Realtors for $248,500. He says they’ve already had multiple showings, so if you’re interested, act fast!

Those interior stairs need a handrail somewhere — isn’t that a code requirement? Front facade a little dirty/mossy around the house numbers. I know this time of year it’s hard to keep the exterior tidy when living in a heavily treed area, but something just feels sloppy to me as I look at the pics. Nice tidy interior, though! Don’t care for the kitchen island but it’s nice to have an island, often not possible in smaller older homes. That’s quite an interesting faucet on the second bathroom sink!
