Cliff May Home Tour Header

We hope you’ve enjoyed reading more about the beautiful homes featured in the inaugural Casa View Cliff May Home Tour and the absolutely lovely people who have breathed new life into this little niche in East Dallas. We couldn’t be more thrilled to see how enthusiastic people are about Cliff May’s designs, midcentury modern architecture, and reinvesting in the community.

We first told you about Scotty and Carrie Reese, two lovebirds that were searching for just the right nest — a Cliff May home, in particular. Their hunt with Realtor Mindy Niehaus is what sparked the idea for the home tour!

Then we showed you the ugly duckling-to-swan remodel of a home we wrote about back in 2014 that was in desperate shape when Eli VanOort and Mitchell Boone purchased it. They gutted the interior and gave this diamond in the rough the TLC it needed to turn heads!

Now’s your chance to win a pair of tickets and see these two tremendous Cliff May designs plus five more! Don’t want to take your chances? Purchase your home tour tickets here for only $10 each! All profits go to the Greater Casa View Alliance.

Trained as an architect, I have always been fascinated by the midcentury modern architecture buildings. Identified by flat planes, large glass windows and beautiful open spaces, these homes for me feature simplicity and an integration with nature. It encouraged the residents to explore the world in new ways and has set a precedent that will be followed for years to come.

I love the clean lines, airy interiors and natural finishes! I grew up in Southern California and seeing the tidy & cute bungalows out here is great. We live in nearby Alger Park/Ash Creek and just love the area.

I love the economy of space epitomized by Mid Century Modern design. It is amazing how livable these spaces are and how nothing is wasted. I also very much appreciate the post-WW II creativity from which this style was born. The designs emanating from this era are full of light and life and fun.
