Sure, we know a lot of real estate agents in North Texas by how much they sell, what addresses they’ve listed, and what brokerages they have worked with, but we don’t often get to focus on who they are, what they’re passionate about, and what inspires them.

Today we launch our High Caliber Agent series, which takes a more introspective look at some of the best real estate agents the our region has to offer. These agents don’t just focus on closings and contracts, but instead treasure and appreciate the people who make the business.

Our first High Caliber Agent sponsored by Lisa Peters of Caliber Home Loans is none other than David Griffin. This broker has done wonders highlighting the culture and people that make the neighborhoods both he and his agents serve so special. If you’re looking for an agent who will serve you far beyond the transaction, look no further than David Griffin, today’s High Caliber Agent sponsored by Lisa Peters of Caliber Home Loans.

CandysDirt.com: Real estate is a very competitive business. To what or whom do you owe your success?

David Griffin: Real estate is a competitive business, but that’s not the way I think about it as I pursue my day-to-day efforts. I focus on connecting with people in a holistic manner, and then providing them with sound real estate counsel.

CD: Outside of day-to-day business, what are you passionate about?

DG: I am co-chair of the Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture. I love this organization for many reasons. The people I’ve met there are some of the smartest and kindest people I’ve ever known. The mission of the institute is to take the wisdom of the humanities and to apply it to life as we live it today.

CD: What is your inspiration?

DG: I don’t know what my inspiration is, unless it is to treat people with respect with the perspective that all that is good (and not so good) in the universe is within each of us, and because of that we all need lots of inspiration and compassion. I always say that whatever is best about me is because I come from a family with a very strong matriarchal base, and my mother, grandmother, and my aunts, all of whom have passed on, left an indelible mark on my worldview.

CD: Why is finding the right lender crucial to your success?

DG: A successful real estate transaction is a result of many professionals working together harmoniously. Having the right lender is key if financing is required. The right lender works with appraisers who stay on top of what is currently a fast moving an appreciating market.
