We knew it the first time we saw it: there was just something very special, warm and inviting about the Welcome Center at Windsong Ranch. We didn’t feel as if we were looking at a sales office, or event a home development marketing center.

We felt like we were arriving at a Kimpton Hotel and the refreshments were just around the corner! Come on in, put your feet up.

So it comes as no surprise that the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) National Sales and Marketing Council (NSMC) recently named Windsong Ranch’s Welcome Center the best in the country. That’s right, BEST IN THE COUNTRY! The National Sales and Marketing Council’s new home sales and marketing awards salute and honor the best in the building industry for their determination, integrity, creativity and endurance.

More than 1,300 entries were received for this year’s awards.

“We knew our Welcome Center had to stand out,” said Craig Martin, Founding Partner of Terra Verde Group, the developer of Windsong Ranch.  “Along with all of the great amenities, what really gives us an edge is the Windsong Café where residents can get a cup of coffee or fresh food cooked with locally sourced ingredients.”

Like we said, refreshments just around the corner, locally sourced be they vegetables from a Windsong Ranch garden, or fresh honey from a ranch hive.

Windsong Ranch also received Silver Awards for Master Planned Community of the Year, Best Signage and Best Landscape.  Silver Award Winners are the top vote recipients in each category and are finalists for the Gold Award.

Like a kid with a free ride to Stanford, award-winning Windsong Ranch is filling shelves with roomfuls of trophies. The development  has received more than  a dozen national and industry awards including the Dallas Builders Association 2015 Master Planned Community of the Year.

“The Nationals are the most prestigious awards of their kind, setting the benchmark for innovations in new home design, marketing and sales,” said Christy Beck, chairperson of the Nationals. “NAHB’s commitment to recognizing originality, imagination and success has been exemplified by its award winners since the competition’s inception.”

Also, Terra Verde recently purchased Boot Ranch in Fredericksburg, Texas.

The Windsong Ranch design team includes Good, Fulton and Farrell as architects; TBG as Master Planners and Landscape Architect; Creative License International for the Welcome Center design and interior design; Anderson Hanson Blanton as the advertising agency, and signage by Identitec.

Windsong Ranch is located 2.5 miles west of the Dallas North Tollway on the north side of Highway 380 in Prosper, TX.  Children attend Prosper schools and an elementary school is on the property. Children are encouraged to walk to school in the gated community, utilizing a vast expanse of paved walking trails.

Upon a projected 8- to 10-year build-out, Windsong Ranch will consist of 3,100 single-family residential lots, 150 acres of mixed-use development along U.S Highway 380, and 600 acres of open space with beautiful native preserves, trails and parks.

Homes range from the upper $200s to $900s and feature builders Highland Homes, Drees Custom Homes, Darling Homes, Huntington Homes, David Weekley Homes and Chesmar Homes.  This year, Scott Felder Homes, American Legend Homes and Grenadier Homes will open new models to kick off their building programs in Windsong Ranch.

The 2,030-acre development promotes a healthy, active lifestyle and a strong sense of community. There are 600 acres of green space woven throughout the community that include parks, open play areas, creeks, ponds and miles of hike and bike trails.

The Commons area is the heart of the neighborhood where residents enjoy Windsong Café, an outdoor living room, resort-style pools with cabanas and grilling areas, an event lawn, a lakeside amphitheater with floating stage, a state-of-the-art fitness center, four tennis courts and a kids creative play area.

New amenities nearing completion include a mountain bike course and a championship disc golf course. For more information on Windsong Ranch, please visit http://www.windsongranchliving.com
