Fort Worth Friday: All Food Tastes Better in Fort Worth, if This Kitchen Has Anything to Do With It

4455 Crestline ext

We are taking more peeks at Fort Worth Real Estate, now that the two cities are no longer arch rivals, and now that two major Dallas powerhouse firms have each established presence in Cow Town.

We love Fort Worth, and we could live there in a heartbeat. And we might just be packing our bags after swooning over 4455 Crestline in Rivercrest. Oh My God, you have to see this kitchen. It’s enough to make me say all food tastes better in Fort Worth because anything made in this kitchen would turn out to be simply scrumptious!

This is an historic home, built in 1920, replete with four bedrooms, four full baths, two half baths. Of course it was gutted and remodeled as recently as 2011. It has three kitchens, the indoor gourmet family kitchen that is like Viagra to my eyes, a catering kitchen (scullery?) and a built-in outdoor kitchen.

Oh that family kitchen. Calcutta gold marble countertops and backsplash, vaulted white paneled ceilings, huge center island with second sink and a beautiful marble faced fireplace complete with a mantle and hearth. There is your morning room!

The separate catering kitchen is equally decked out (I love the painted green-gray cabinets) and opens into a large walk-around bar complete with a wine refrigerator, ice maker and bar sink set into a beautiful, thick, mahogany L-shaped, countertop. Did I say this is a home for entertaining? Well, it is. Fort Worth has always been known as the city where the real money is, and this house just has that moneyed feel oozing out of every square inch.

This house is Daisy Buchanan.

Of course there are four fireplaces — including one in the entry! Also one in the dining room, the living room, and that family kitchen morning room.

Crestline masterThis won’t disappoint: the large master suite is on the first floor and includes a sitting area, an Italian Murano glass chandelier and a totally 30 foot closet crammed with built-ins. You will be SO organized here. The master bath has separate his and her sinks with more Calcutta gold countertops and flooring.

Off the kitchen and den are a large laundry room, a mudroom and an office, perfect location. The living room has French doors on both sides that, on one side, open onto a private, pergola covered patio with blue stone flooring and a fountain. The lot is almost a third of an acre and has a pool. Again, cocktails here on the patio. Or wander to the other side, which is a manicured garden with two sitting areas, where you can whisper about your Dallas guests and they will never hear a word.

“Yes, that neckline really is cut down to her navel.”

More Italian Murano glass chandeliers are to be found in the dining room and one of the half baths. There are three ensuite bedrooms upstairs along with a large media/game room with a wet bar that opens out onto another large covered patio. This one has splendid views of the exclusive River Crest golf course, which is right across the street. That is enough for a whole other conversation!

Listed with Betsy Barnes at Williams Trew Realty, an Ebby Halliday Company. Not sure of the square footage, but get this: taxes are ONLY $37,704. Seriously, call White Glove!  We are aiming to do a Fort Worth Friday every week, because Cowtown homes are so very fabulous… and we just love the conversation!Crestline zebra

Love this home! And it is so true about that kitchen! I also love the use of color in this home and those amazing high-pitch ceilings. What a dreamy home!

Great seeing some Fort Worth homes. FW is the fastest growing city in the US, after all. Thanks, Candy.

Tkx Candy – as a Fort Worth native I’m personally thrilled to have Williams – True a part of the “family.” I have referred clients to Ashley Martin for years! She knows all the best markets in Cowtown give her a buzz if you ever need anything!
