I have met the loft of my dreams and it is inside 2220 Canton, the Farmers Market lofts that have some incredible amenities. I love slick, open floorplans with tons of windows, especially those cool industrial vintage crankcase steel ones. Just fabulous. This unit, which is perfect for someone relocating from another urban area like, say, Chicago or New York, and wants a walkable, fun location that is close to pretty much everything, but isn’t sandwiched between the copious $30K millionaires in Uptown (nothing against Uptown!).

So yes, Unit 309 at the Canton Farmers Market Lofts is just about my dreamboat were I to downsize and move downtown. This unit, which has one bedroom, one full bath, and 1,480 square feet inside a historic 1925 warehouse is marketed by Coldwell Banker Lakewood’s Grant Vancleve for $250,000. What will surprise you about this unit is that it’s been on the market for less than a month and is already under option contract!

Seriously, it wasn’t too long ago that selling a loft or a condo was an uphill battle. The market for condos and townhomes was sluggish, and people felt claustrophobic under the idea of a mortgage without a lawn. My, how things have changed! The condo market is taking off in Dallas, and it is projected to grow over the next 12 months, too!

I think it’s properties in great locations with fabulous amenities such as this one that are the draw for first-time homebuyers and empty nesters looking to simplify without sacrificing. In this luxury unit you get gorgeous polished concrete floors, a huge wall of windows, museum finish walls a huge, open kitchen with stainless steel appliances and ample counter and cabinet space, designer lighting, a beautiful bedroom, and a brand new five-piece master bath with soaking tub and oversized shower. Of course, there’s a balcony just off the living area, too!

Seriously, you wont miss a thing! Plus you get access to a rooftop pool with unobstructed views of downtown, a gym, and you’re right next to the Farmer’s Market, which is undergoing an extensive remodel. It’s walkable, bikable, and right next to all the nightlife in Deep Ellum, too. The HOA fees are $551 a month, which, considering what you get with this property, seems pretty reasonable to me. What do you think of this loft?

Love this property and my lucky client has it under contract! The view of Downtown is fabulous. And the neighborhood is still a good value compared to its Uptown cousin.
