Many of you know I am obsessed with Hollywood Heights and the street that we live on. I love our neighbors, I love the trees, I love how our street is off the beaten path and many don’t know about it, and I love that it’s little and intimate. In fact, I have previously described it as a little slice of heaven.
But with only 16 houses on it and a housing market that is on speed, the chance to live on our street doesn’t happen often. Until today. Kate Looney Walters with Allie Beth Allman has a LEASE listing for a charming tudor at 6926 Patricia Avenue in the middle of this great street.
With 1,687 sq. feet and 3 beds/2 baths, it’s not a bad size for a 1931 home either.
I was actually shocked at the closet space when I toured the home…and wondered why our 1938 home doesn’t have such closets! (There aren’t actual pics of the closets, but take my word for it). Here you can see the the outside of a cedar closet.
You probably also don’t know that the home is owned by the local owner of a famous restaurant, which has over 8,000 employees, 61 locations across the United States, and one in Canada. Apparently, one of this guy’s relatives grew up in this home and it has sentimental value – i.e., this bad boy isn’t up for sale anytime soon.
It has great, what appear to be original wood floors throughout.
Now, the layout is quirky (2 bedrooms are connected by french doors)…
and someone put a mosaic dolphin in the front bathroom,
but did I mention you’d be living on the best street in Hollywood Heights? And there is a front porch AND side porch!
The kitchen is spacious…and rumor has it the owner is going to install a brand new dishwasher.
Just don’t pay attention to the washer/dryer in the kitchen…it is a 1931 home!
Plus the touches of Art Deco and the detailed archways are a great asset!
The backyard has a newer 1 car garage which is handy and would also allow for storage space, and a sturdy, tall wood privacy fence along with wood decking for lounging.
At $2,100/month, it’s also lower than most mortgages on homes being purchased in this hot ‘hood right now! This opportunity won’t last long, and we like to handpick our neighbors, so let us know if you want to live on a little slice of heaven!
Speaking of purchasing, I didn’t even have a chance to let you know about the 1 home for sale on our little street – it was under contract within 12 hours of hitting MLS.
Married power duo Amanda and Bryan Crawford of Briggs Freeman Sothebys (and fellow Patricians, as we call ourselves) have the listing, so let them know if you want to submit a back-up contract pronto.
