Friday Five Hundred: Looking For a Ranch With Drama? Feast Your Eyes on This Bob-O-Link Downs Home!

Share News:

Seriously, 6623 Winton has so much character and really, tons of DRAMA! This home has been completely renovated from top to bottom and even inside out (check out that stone pathway!) and feels thoroughly modern. You get Lakewood schools (Dallas ISD) and 2,456 square feet for just $574,900.

The living room is painted the perfect color of gray, which really sets off the hardwood floors. Not only do I love the simple elegance of the furniture, but I love the juxtaposition of the antlers and cowhide with all of the super-sleek decor.

The kitchen, well, you really need to love wood grain to love this kitchen. Now, I really think it feels warm and inviting, but I would probably refinish the cabinets in a darker stain that blends better with the floors. Otherwise, It’s just freaking gorgeous.

The dining area is open to another living area, which is connected with the kitchen, making these three spaces feel like one really long room. It’s a fabulous space for entertaining several guests, and with the holidays coming up, you’ve got to keep entertaining top-of-mind when house hunting!

There are four bedrooms and three baths in this home, and every one of them looks brand new. The master carries on the same modern elegance as the rest of the house, and the master bath is just so perfect for me that I am cribbing notes for my own bathroom renovation.

In the backyard you’ll find a deck and some really understated landscaping, which makes that beautiful stone walkway really pop. If you love this house as much as I do, don’t forget to use our “Pin It” buttons to share this lovely Ebby listing with all of your friends on Pinterest!

Cool house–nice updates. It's definitely a high price for a place with a one-car garage and less than huge square footage, but maybe the upgrades make it worth it.

Agreed! Beautiful home (was expecting a nicer backyard though), but will be curious to see what it actually sells for. $575k feels about $75-100k high for under 2,500 SF and the 1 car garage. And those kitchen cabinets.

The kitchen and bathroom cabinets, the one car garage and the less than impressive backyard would make me offer much less than the asking price. If they are trying to get back their costs into the remodel, they need an intervention with the facts that rarely will you ever get back what you put in. You remodel for your enjoyment and use.
I'm still trying to figure out what they were thinking with the cabinets.

Got curious and looked the house up on DCAD. Current owner bought in Sept 2011. And the owner before that bought in Aug 2009 and sold Sept 2011. Is there something wrong with the house to be changing hands 3 times in 3 years? Current and previous owner must take a bloodbath at closing to cover realtor & closing fees with little appreciation year over year…..and Lakewood has actually seen some appreciation unlike many DFW areas.

It could be the owners were either losing their jobs and/or getting job transfers. Just a thought.
