This home at 6910 Joyce Way has been reduced by a whopping 6%, from $445,000 to $419,000. What a great buy for the location! You get 3900 square feet with four bedrooms, three and a half baths, all the formals you’ll ever need. Tucked in Windsor Park, with pretty French Brown floors, crown moldings out the wahzoo, top of the line appliances and spacious rooms with what the rest of the world is lacking: abundance of storage. In fact, I have no doubt that if we got everyone in Washington bigger closets, a lot of problems would be solved, like maybe the federal deficit.
Get this: 800 sq. feet of unfinished attic space with staircase access, could be an office or an overflow closet. Someone was telling me the other day about these vast homes with spiral staircases leading up to secondary closets. Well, here you have it. The island-centered kitchen has all the bells and whistles. All you really need are a few cosmetic touches. No, that is not code for stripping her down to the studs. The blue tiles in the kitchen have to go, I think, and I do not know what to say abut that gold wallpaper in the powder bath. Trip on down to Elegant Additions and find yourself a new faucet or three. Go get some Sherwin Williams and this home will shine! I got the feeling this home has not been updated in years, hence the price reduction. For me, personally, this is the perfect home because I want to choose all materials. So if you are like me (a control freak) you would rather rip out the old blue tiles and get some soapstone counters rather than go into a home that has been re-done in everything you don’t likey. Makes ripping out so hard.
Listed with Beverly Morris at Ebby, and what a great remodeling project for a designer/owner.
